The site is well known for spotting continuity and factual errors in movies and the latest offering from Marvel Studios was apparently full of them! With 45 mistakes in total, Iron Man 2 is the most mistake filled movie of the year so far! Martin Scorsese's Shutter Island came in second place with 34 while another superhero movie, Kick-Ass, was third with 15 in total. Here are just a few of the most surprising mistakes! "At the beginning of the film Tony Stark is at the Expo wearing a tuxedo with a white shirt under it. When he leaves the stage and checks his blood toxicity it changes to a black shirt."

"When Ivan is first brought to meet Hammer, Hammer is eating a dessert with a cherry on it. The cherry disappears and then reappears. The spoon also keeps swapping between being inside the food and by the saucer."

"While Rhodey and Stark are fighting, right before the house explodes, all the guests run away. Half a second later an aerial view shows the house being blown to pieces, but not a single person or car is seen on the premises."

"During the final aerial battle at Hammer's expo, when War Machine's suit is still compromised and he is helping Iron Man evade Whiplash's drones, Iron Man accidentally once refers to War Machine as 'Don,' as in Don Cheadle, when War Machine's name is James Rhodes."

"At the end of the movie where Stark, Rhody and the Senator is taking a photo, Stark's hand is supposed to be behind the senator but when the scene switches to the zoomed out view, his hands are by his side and when it switches back again, his hands are behind the senator."

"In the hidden scene the car stops and you get a flash of the front of the car the New Mexico license plate is in focus (to show were they are). However in New Mexico they only issue you one plate to be used at the rear of the car."

Did you notice any of these mistakes or any others? How about in any of your other favourite comic book movies? Have your say in the usual place! Iron Man 2 is rumoured to be due for release on DVD and blu-ray this coming October!

In X-2 near the end, right before Nightcrawler teleports into room with the kids that were kidnapped, you can see Nightcrawler in the back ground of the shadows, the camera switches to Nightcrawler and Storm right before he teleports, then Bampf! Nightcrawler walks out of the shadows like he just appeared there.

Every movie has these. The one I remember the most was in Good Fellas with Paulie's disappearing/reappearing cigar.

Wow, if Iron Man 2 is the most mistake filled this year, then this year must be AMAZING for movies.
I really hope no one is going to go overboard and say that the movie sucks because of these...I really hope no one is that stupid.

@Jay- There's a difference between these mistakes and a mistake of a movie.

As long as they don't take me out of the film, I'm good. With all that goes into making a film (takes, multiple days on one scene, post production, reshoots, etc.), there's bound to be stuff like that happening. They are interesting though.

did not notice a single one of these changes. and this is one of those times when none of the mistakes change my opinion of the movie at all.

iron man 2 had mistakes, plenty of them. but these are trivial.

I really dont think that things like these are a big deal as long as they're not so glaringly obvious that they take you out of the movie! It's still fun to read about them though..! :)

The biggest mistake of this type that I ever noticed was in The Shield. There was one episode where a cameraman was right in the shot standing next to the cast - he even looked at the camera that was focused on him! How that made it into the final cut I'll never know! :P

JUST IN....the shot where Thor is fighting Loki, when it is raining hard, you can see Stratus clouds when Nimbostratus clouds bring alot of rain.
UPDATED....In the movie Capitan America, Chris Evens marble pouch has shiften to the right-left-right.
LATE BREAKING....Cowboys and Aliens has no real Indians in the movie...BUT also no real Aliens!!!!!

Who cares....moves are here to make money, and by showing how many times you watched IM2 for mistakes, Id say its working.

HA, he actually called War Machine "Don," that's awesome. Overrated movie anyway, It was good no doubt, but there wasn't anything there that was great.

Aren't errors in continuity of much greater importance?

By the way, movie people call them gaffes.

The movie did it's job it kept me entertained and I didn't notice a single one of these mistakes. This sounds like the rant of a nit picker who just wanted to complain about something. Get a life.

i thought the biggest mistake was that they never called Black Widow or War Machine by their codenames...not once.

when iron man and rhodey are fighting at the party, Iron man says, "So, you wanna be the War Machine, now?"
but that isn't even referring to his name, The War Machine armor wasn't even created at that point, he was just mocking him. i was kinda disappointed with that.
