Mickey Rourke's Manhood Helped His Comeback

The Wrestler star and future Iron Man 2 villain, Mickey Rourke, feels "grateful" for his comeback and says his private parts helped.

Mickey Rourke's rocky road back to Hollywood celebrity is well known by now, but what you may not know is the secret of his success. While picking up an "International Man" GQ award on Tuesday, Rourke said:

"You've got to have a big d--k and be really horny. You've also got to look after yourself and do a lot of push-ups."

Rourke was apologetic about some of the decisions he has made in his life, saying:

"It took about 14 years to start working again, and I'm very lucky that I'm in a profession where I just kept moving forward.

"I just feel very grateful...I burnt a lot of bridges. I think they should really give [this award] to a soldier or a doctor or a fireman or someone. Why give it to someone like me? That's my honest opinion."

When asked about Iron Man 2, Rourke repeated the same statement we've heard him make on other occasions:

"I think it will be better than Iron Man 1."

Ain't that the truth... Bunch of horny people are running Hollywood. Men don't talk about screwing their way to the top cause they don't complain and society doesn't see it as something wrong contrary to women. But why do you think celebrities date each other or mary each other all the time? It's very rare that someone in a steady couple starts to act and keeps his high school girlfriend. They all make a choice. And that's really sad.

It seems Favreau likes the "down-and-out-but-still-has-mad-acting-chops" actors for his Ironman films...not complaining, just something I noticed

You know, I was thinking about what my favorite Mickey Rourke movie was, and at first I thought "the Wrestler" without a doubt, but then I remembered him playing the villain in "Double Team" with Van Damme. He was freaking awesome in that movie!

Then I was thinking "9 1/2 Weeks," but you know why I ACTUALLY like that movie LOL.

Misterfan took my joke, too slow to checking the article again... I think the push up thing is just that you've got to be buff and pumped up.

@DeadpoolTX yup it should be phenomenal with this kind of talent. And though Sam Rockwell hasn't been nominated for one yet, his talent is off the charts.

I think Mickey needs to beat some humility into Brett Ratner

Being out here in Iraq that really means alot. Man, I was always in Mickey Rourke's corner, just another reason to like the guy.

RATNER UPDATE: Has Brett Ratner been listening in to our little thread about him here at CBM? I don't know, but Ratner Tweeted this last night:

@BrettRatner: ATTN COMIC BOOK FANS: THERE ARE 3 SIDES TO EVERY STORY. YOUR SIDE, MY SIDE, AND THE TRUTH. AND NO ONE IS LYING.
