Jon Favreau On The Possibility Of Robert Downey Jr. Returning For IRON MAN 4

Not that he actually knows anything for certain, but during a video interview for his new movie Chef the Iron Man 2 director says that he's about to go pay a visit to the Avengers: AOU set, and that he'd like to see RDJ return to the role...as long as he still fits in the suit!

There's still nothing set in stone regarding a fourth solo outing for Marvel's Iron Man, but with the third installment making so much coin it's definitely a strong possibility at some point. Would it still be Robert Downey Jr. under the helmet though? Well after Avengers: Age Of Ultron we really don't know what's on the cards, but one man who definitely thinks he should have another blast in the suit is RDJ's former Iron Man director Jon Favreau. In the following interview with Flicks And The City, Favreau talks about once again working with Downey Jr. and Scarlet Johansson on his new movie Chef, and the likelihood of the former playing Tony Stark in a fourth Iron Man film.

You'll notice the interviewer doesn't ask Favreau if he'd have any interested in returning to helm a fourth outing -- though if he's visiting their set, relations can't be that bad between he and Marvel. Would you like to see him direct the next Iron Man? Or is the franchise in better hands with Shane Black? Sound off in the usual place.
