Marvel Studios’ “Iron Man 3″ pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

Iron Man 3 was directed by Shane Black, from a screenplay written by Drew Pearce. The film opened in theaters May 3, 2013. It stars: Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark), Gwyneth Paltrow (Virginia Potts), Don Cheadle (Col. James Rhodes), and Ben Kingsley as The Mandarin.

A floating, flying Thor hammer is one thing but a bunch of armor whizzing around in chunks everywhere??
FAIL.

I had to watch this movie twice just to get through it.

There can't be an Iron Man related thread without someone bringing up Trevor can there?
This isn't the Marvel 616, there are going to be differences, the Mandarin is just one of them

UncleBurnsie, I'm wondering why you're here. Don't seem to get the concept of comic book superheroes, so why are you on a CBM site? You don't get Thor's hammer? WTH? And you don't get Starks tech? Hello? It's all been in the comics for decades.
You're either trolling for young boys, a poor man's Gusto, or a DC troll.

"This isn't the Marvel 616, there are going to be differences, the Mandarin is just one of them."

I'm sorry but Shane Black raped my childhood. The Mandarin is one of the greatest marvel villains. He's an iconic character and Shane Black had the balls to come in and change him into a drunk-ass, british crack-head actor? Not to mention he didn't even have the alien tech and he wasn't even Chinese. It's [frick]ing HERESY!! [frick] you Shane Black, he should never be allowed to direct another CBM ever again.

hey Marantz I totally get Thor's hammer no shit it works on magic I GET IT I love the Thor movies & the gd comics I just thought IM3 was the shittiest MCU movie yet. c'mon even though it's in the comics -so what it doesn't translate to film it looked gd stupid. Little chunks of metal flying around navigating like UFO's. That can stay in the comics. IMO. But of course I don't belong on here so what ever I say is whatever your blathering about- what was it?.... oh because I have no concept of superheroes. *rolls eyes* *shrugs shoulders*

I hated the crumbling armor. In the Avengers the armor withstood a battle with Thor. Here, random bad extremis bad guys can tear it off him like tinfoil. And don't get me started on the truck hitting the armor. Seriously terrible.

I love loving this movie because it pisses so many others off! After all nobody would believe in a Chinese guy with 10 power rings, or a dragon that can talk.

Repeated armor crotch shots = EPIC FAIL

Everyone gets to wear armor making Tony Stark seem ordinary = EPIC FAIL

Flying armor trying to comedically break out of a locked on a tool shed two states over = EPIC FAIL

Tony goes to Home Depot to make glitter bombs out of christmas decorations = EPIC FAIL

The ridiculous scenes wear everyone is jumping in and out of armor = EPIC FAIL

Pepper Potts as Deus Ex Machina in final climax = EPIC FAIL

FILLED WITH FAIL...you could go on and on with all the FAIL in this piece of shit movie

Remember in Avengers when Tony's missiles could take out a whole battalion of enemy aliens?

Yeah, well Shane Black doesn't because apparently he never saw that movie.

Shane Black is proof that you could remake Iron Man 2 and it could actually be WORSE.

I just want an Iron Man film with the heart of Iron Man 1 and the action and humor of Avengers.

But instead we get two aweful films in the form of Iron Man 2 & 3.

Shane Black tried really hard to make IM3 even worse then IM2

He may have succeeded, I am really torn now in which one was worse...
