Robert Downey Jr. says he thought Iron Man 2 would be easier this time around. And Marvel.com has officially started their "Iron Man Month".

"Associated Press" has posted a brief talk with Iron Man 2 star, Robert Downey Jr., where he reveals how he thought the process of making film would be beforehand. And "Iron Man Month" begins today, over at Marvel.com

From Associated Press:
Things never get easier, for an action hero or an actor hoping his sequel can outdo his blockbuster original.

"I just thought it was going to be easier and more fun, but I thought, you know what? Maybe you've got to really roll up our sleeves," Downey said. "We had to really, really, really redouble our efforts to kind of make it something that seemed it would stand next to the first one."

I appreciate that the Iron Man production team decided to try to exceed what they created. Often in sequels, the studio thinks they can release any old piece of crap sequel and fans will flock to the movies.

@stopdropandroll that hasn't really happened for cbm's yet, if the 1st one is good the second one is good for instance, the Spiderman,X-Men,Hellboy,Blade,Superman, and both of the Batman franchises all had good 1st and second films but not the hottest 3rd films if they had a third.
