Comic Book Rescources have released a new clip from Justice League: Throne of Atlantis. When the first trailer hit last year, we got a synopsis which read: "As Orm and Black Manta make their move against the surface world after the battle with Apokolips forces in Justice League War had deadly consequences for Atlantis, the queen of the lost underwater civilization searches for her other son, Orm's half brother Arthur. Living on the surface world with powers he doesn't understand, Arthur Curry steps into his destiny as Aquaman, teaming with the Justice League to save and unite all people of the world." The cast of the movie includes Matt Lanter (Aquaman), Sam Witwer (Orm/Ocean Master), Harry Lennix (Black Manta), Chris Gorham (The Flash), Jason O'Mara (Batman), Shemar Moore (Cyborg), Rosario Dawson (Wonder Woman), Jerry O'Connell (Superman), Nathan Fillion (Green Lantern), and Sean Astin (Shazam). Justice League: Throne of Atlantis is set to be released on January 27th, 2015. This was so underwhelming and moreso than war (which i cut slack because the comic version is complete shit) i hope timm's gods and monsters can redeem dc animation.

Ya I hated this movie maybe not as bad as War or Son of Batman but just overall it shows how badly DC animated has declined since Bruce Timm was let go. Thank god he is supposedly back for the next JL movie Gods and Monsters because they are desperately missing his guidance. So many dumb moments in this movie, the pacing was bad, writing wasn't very good, voice acting for the most part was terrible, and man does Green Lantern continue to be written as the most idiotic douchebag in the universe in these movies. I haven't read any of the New 52 comics so I can't say if he is like this in the comics but why is Hal Jordan being written as Guy Gardner. If they want Guy Gardner then just put Guy Gardner in the freaking movie this isn't Hal Jordan.

Sometimes I feel like people are too critical of the DC animated films, they usually only have about 70 minutes to tell a story. I thought this one was fine and a huge step up from Son of Batman which was terrible.

Anything that you hate about war this one does at least 10x worse a few things:
1) Flash's prescence is unecessary and pointless he has about 10 lines of dialouge at most
2) shazam is even more anoying in this
3) lots of the characters voices sound quite off and you'll notice alot of re-used character assets if you've seen other recent dc animations
Just to name a few.

One of the dumbest moments in the movie that doesn't spoil the movie is a giant tidal wave is summoned and is about to wipe out the eastern seaboard. The heroes wonder how they are going to evacuate everyone which one of them says they can't. As the tidal wave is about to wipe out Metropolis it stops, parts open and reveals an Atlantean army with about 75-100 men and about 10 tanks in which they then attack the city. I seriously stopped the movie to ask the computer screen why in the hell would you summon a tidal wave that can wipe out the city to just stop it for no reason and just attack the city with some troops. If your mission is to kill all the humans then just use the damn tidal wave to wipe out the coastal cities with no risk to you or your men.

Ya Shazam is bad in this movie they ramped up his childish personality and he is this annoying as hell teenager that makes you want to slap him more then root for him. This kid in no way seems like the kind of person Shazam an ancient guardian of order would give all this amazing power to. Oh and all he does is throw a few lighting bolts around huge downgrades all around to this character.

holy crap you're right about the guy gardner-hal jordan swap out i knew something felt out off the same thing goes for when he used to be in the new 52 jl comic for whatever johns wrote him so bad which was weird for johns since he knows the character so well.

I think its to do with how geoff johns writes him in the new52 as usual when he writes a character he'll wipe out most or all or what was tied to the character before with other writers that people loved and tries to do it his way trying to make it the "definitive" version.

I'm really hoping this is good. The DC Animated Movies have been some of my favorite things ever, be recently the quality has declined so, so much. Son of Batman & JL: WAR dialog looked lik ti was written for 10yr olds. I didn't hate War as much of other people but even I can see it doesn't match the quality of their past films.

Assault on Arkham was amazing. Looks like we can look forward to at least ONE animated DC film a year.

and NO film is touching Batman: Under The Red Hood, or Justice League: Flashpoint paradox. Those are not just my favorite animated DC movies, but some of my favorite comic book movies of all time. (Along with Mask of Phantasm)

@pesmerga44 Did you even watch the movie? Hal wasn't an "idiotic douchebag" at all. I will admit he was pretty douchey in JL War but not this movie. And yes this is how Hal Jordan is being written in the New52 comics so get used to it. And this isn't how Guy acts, Gardner is more of an asshole.

I really enjoyed the movie, for a 70 minute animated feature it was right.
