Last month, we learned that Warner Bros. Animation will release an Injustice movie this Fall. Inspired by NetherRealm's hit video game Injustice: Gods Among Us and Tom Taylor's "Year One" comic book spinoff, it's fair to say that there's a lot of excitement among fans to see how this story plays out.
There's a great creative team working on the project, and one of the masterminds behind it, Rick Morales, also produced Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge and the upcoming Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms (which arrives August 31 on 4K/Blu-ray & Digital).
When we had Rick on the phone yesterday, we had to ask him if there was anything he could tease about Injustice, and whether it was exciting to go from one NetherRealm project to the next.
"Yeah! Absolutely," he laughed. "I think, for me, it made a lot of sense because they're both NetherRealm projects and it shares a commonality with Mortal Kombat. I think if you like some of the violence in Mortal Kombat, you'll be pleased with Injustice. How about that? [Laughs]"
That's definitely a good tease, and one that has us hopeful Injustice will boast an R-Rating. Keep checking back here as we'll share our full chat with Rick, and writer Jeremy Adams, very soon.
