Interesting concept indeed.

Is the real League going to show up in this?

The fact that Bruce Timm is involved just makes me happy
JamesMann

I like it. Even with the multiverse DC films we've gotten before this one suggests the whole film will be from that universes perspective rather than one of the JL members ending up in said other universe.

This looks good, but I don't like how Bruce Timm, says it's realistic. When I think of superheroes, that's the last thing I'd ever think about. That being said the concept is great. Plus if this sells well I'd like to see a comic book series on this universe.

Sadly, the best DC animated movie of 2014 and 2015 is going to be a Justice League movie without the Justice League we know.

HA! When they said "Michael Holt" in the video they showed a photo of Luke Fox lol

love bruce timms work and this looks outstanding. I am so surprised in the direction and in a good way. I actually was not interested in this at all until today when I found out more about it. I thought this was going to be a thrones of Atlantis sequel but now that I know what it is, it is officially on my radar and has become a highly anticipated release in my eyes.

It's just too perfect that Dexter Morgan is a bloodthirsty vampire version of Batman.

[Regarding New 52]Lot of the fans were like kinda freaking out. 'Oh they're just gonna throw away all this, all this continuity and just start over' and It turned out the reboot wasn't as radical as everyone was dreading

He even acknowledged how the Flash and the Green Lantern were changed in the late 50s.
They basically took the name and gimmick of each of those characters and...they basically threw everything else out...and both of those characters are like really big hits. Those are THE iconic versions of Green Lantern and Flash that people think of to this day.

I'm just pointing how one of the most respected people in DC Entertainment is collectively shutting down the naysayers to change in the various forms they may come about.
"Superheroes killing anybody"
"Comic reboots"
"Really really changing up previously established characters"

@VisonaryNPA I like how he acknowledges that previous "iconic" characters have undergone changes that have become more popular with time, and the implication that change isn't a bad thing.
DerekLake
DerekLake - 4/4/2015, 8:59 PM
I will say, though, I'm less excited by the fact that these are all completely different characters who use the same names as the Justice League. It would have been more interesting to change up Diana, Kal-El, and Bruce in such a radical way.

@StreakofBlue
Oh, the irony & hypocrisy you'd see.
Despite the load of crap he would inherently see in this premise, he's one of the biggest Timm fanboys on this site who is genuinely looking forward to this.

@DerekLake "It would have been more interesting to change up Diana, Kal-El, and Bruce in such a radical way."

I think that would've taken way more time to come up with & exposit rather than just be inspired by the already established lore and make
not Kal-El, but the son of Zod,
not Diana, but the wife of Orion, &
not Bruce, but Kirk Langstrom
as the video mentions.
SnapperCarr

It looks like Bruce Timm is forced to say corporate buzzwords like "grounded" in order to justify the direction that WB wants DC to go in. Even when it doesn't make sense in the context of this, a elseword story that features [frick]ing vampires and New Gods.

And DC animation is not what it used to be. There has been a decline in the quality of stuff they've put out.

The return of the one true king of DC animation, Bruce Timm!!!!
BlackIceJoe

It would be cool to see, that the Darkstars are in this universe instead of the Green Lanterns. This would mean that the Controllers not the Guardians are the masters of the universe instead. I'm not sure who they would go with to replace Barry Allen. I can think of a few choices. They are Max Mercury, Thunderbolt, Johnny Quick & Jesse Quick. For Aquaman, I can see Garth taking his place. Seeing as Mr. Stone died, I don't think Cyborg exists. I can see Martian Manhunter existing in this universe instead. But instead of J'onn it being his wife M'yri'ah J'onzz or his brother Ma'alefa'ak J'onzz
