JUSTICE LEAGUE Director Zack Snyder Reveals Whether His Cut Of The Movie Will Have A Post-Credits Scene

Justice League director Zack Snyder has confirmed that the cut of his movie coming to HBO Max (and theaters, apparently) won't have a post-credits scene, while also sharing an update on its current status.

Recent comments from Zack Snyder have pointed to his cut of Justice League receiving a theatrical release somewhere down the line, a fitting decision considering how much work has gone into making the "Snyder Cut" a reality. HBO Max isn't a bad home for it, of course, but it feels a lot like a movie we need to experience on the big screen.

In the theatrical version of Justice League, there was a mid-credits scene depicting Superman and the Flash having a race, but that was quite clearly a product of Joss Whedon's reshoots.

The second featured a meeting between Deathstroke and Lex Luthor, though actor Joe Manganiello recently confirmed that Jesse Eisenberg's scenes were reshot (changing the meaning behind their encounter). While the actor has since shot more footage as Slade Wilson, it doesn't look like that's being used for an extended post-credits stinger.

Answering some fan questions on Vero (via The Direct), Snyder confirmed that his Justice League will not have any sort of extra scene at the end of the credits. He also revealed that around 75% of the VFX work on the "Snyder Cut" is finished, so chances are we'll see it early in 2021.

In fact, the filmmaker later confirmed that his movie is still being released in the first quarter of 2021, so fingers crossed we get an official premiere date soon. For what it's worth, Snyder also said that it's "up to you fans" to decide whether this version of Justice League should be considered DCEU canon.

Stay tuned for the latest on Zack Snyder's Justice League as we have it.

That's a surprise because this is how Snyder sounds anytime he talks about the movie.

The movie's like 4 hours. At that point, might as well just throw any "additional" footage in the actual movie.

I think that's the right way to go. There's no point of an after credit scene if this is the end or is it?

Unless something drastic...Aquaman was being developed while Snyder was originally working on JL.

So Arthur’s journey should feed fine from ZS JL into Wan’s Aquaman.

I guess the only issue would be...is Victors dad alive in any of the new films ie FLASH.

Other than that...just have to wait and see any other issues.

@BlackBeltJones -

Not the bat-branding!
That was worse than the machine gunning.

Batman randomly mutilating criminals with his logo was just weird and unecessary.

On the one hand I was expecting a set-up to a future movie that probably won't see the light of day, but on the other hand I release this movie is probably already gonna be full of teases. No need to hide just the one behind the credits.
