Will Ben Affleck's BATMAN Lead The JUSTICE LEAGUE? New (Low-Res) Look At The Batcave

Ben Affleck and Jeremy Irons talk here about the respective roles in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, with the latter specifically addressing the Dark Knight's role in Justice League. Meanwhile, we also have a new look inside the Batcave, and it is AWESOME...

Entertainment Weekly's website has today been focusing on Doctor Strange, but one fan has come across a print issue of the magazine which gives us a new look inside the Batcave. That can be seen below (we'll let you know as soon as an official version is released), and also within its pages are some very interesting comments from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice stars Ben Affleck and Jeremy Irons. The former started by addressing the Caped Crusader's role in the Justice League, and dropped some hints about the possibility of Batman leading the team. "Batman represents human beings, mortal men," he says. "In a world of Flashes and Aquamen and Supermen, there needs to be that guy. It's interesting that he became the leader of the Justice League in the books - I'm not sure how that will play out here - but his humanity is also an asset." Jeremy Irons meanwhile weighed in on how his version of Bruce Wayne's loyal butler will stand out from previous takes. "Alfred is a lot more hands on in our film that he has previously been. He's a bit of a grease monkey, and he's very involved in the decisions Bruce makes." What do you guys think?

Well in the comics, it was Batman and Flash's idea to start a Justice League so....

Jeremy Irons is gonna kill it as Alfred! Hopefully, we get to see more than just a glimpse of Ezra as Flash.

Wow With Dawn of Justice seeming to be heavy on Batman (going after the alien that has the power to wipe out the entire human race), Suicide Squad members who may have ties with Batman and now Batman leading the Justice League? universe seems to be very Batman centric so far... Focus on Batman.... Again? Lmao I kid I kid

I'm a HUGE Superman fan, but if Batman leads the Justice League I'm all for it. Superman being all powerful shouldn't be the reason he leads the Justice league, unless he steps up to the plate and is able to handle team dynamics. Batman has been around longer in this universe, I feel like it makes sense he would lead.

At the end of the day I'm still in complete shock we are seeing Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman AND MORE on screen next year. What a time to be a comic book fan :))

But seriously tho I'd rather Superman be the leader. And if so then there should be some rivalry for leadership? Atleast a little kinda like Steve and Tony

I like the idea of the batcave being enclosed with walls and ceilings. It's smart.
I've often wondered how Bruce Wayne from the comics doesn't have histoplasmosis from years of breathing in bat guano.

Looks like in this universe, Superman is a rookie. Batman is a vet. So Bats makes better sense leading the JLA.

Really looking forward to seeing Irons's take on Alfred, I think I'm gonna like him quite a lot in that role!

@JaredsJoker had Heath lived, God Rest his soul, I would have like to have seen Harley Quinn in TDK trilogy.

@rabid Exactly! That's also why I let MoS slide a little bit because it was Superman's first day on the job. Yes it could have been handled better but heroes shouldn't be perfect on their first run.

...oh God I just reopened the MoS can of worms...

Superman NEEDS TO LEAD! Having an alien who possess as much humanity as any human being, is something special. His humanity is as potent as Bruce's humanity. Supes needs a leadership role. Already seems like Bats is taking Supes thunder in this film.

Dope cave from what I can see. Better than what Nolan conjured up.

Always loved this concept art batcave

@Jollem I've never seen Throne of Atlantis, was it good? In complete honesty I wasn't a huge fan of War. My fave is Justice League: Doom

What if the League has no leader, but instead a trinity of leaders?

Superman leads I the public eye. Speaking to all the press and public things. The real leader being the scenes is always Batman. The best tactician on the team to lead to the best possible outcome always lead.

Batman is A leader of the JL, as part of the Trinity. But he's not THE leader and Affleck never implied that. WB/DC is not boneheaded enough to have anyone but Supes leading the JL.

To be perfectly honest: just based on everything we've seen so far I could imagine that I'm going to end up prefering Diana to lead the League.

@Jollem I think my most anticipated DC Animation ever is The Killing Joke set to release next year. That's going to be an instant classic!!

I was legitimately thinking about getting an entire set of Justice League figures for 100 bucks, but I feel like that is too much, plus I would just have them in front of my TV so that aint worth it.

Lol @Jollem is probably so happy he is getting more DC news today because of all that Marvel goodness.

Superman should lead by the mere fact that he is [frick]ing Superman. Aquaman makes sense as well.
