JUSTICE LEAGUE's Rotten Tomatoes Score Has Been Revealed Sooner Than Expected
While Rotten Tomatoes was supposed to hold back Justice League's score until the movie is released, a mobile app has given the game away early and we now have an idea of how well its faring on the site.
Yesterday, we learned that Rotten Tomatoes is planning on withholding the score for Justice League in order to generate interest in their See It/Skip It series on Facebook. Comic book fans are understandably anxious to learn how it's going to do, especially after reviews first surfaced today.
Well, Fast Company has come across the score via Flixter, a mobile app which features the Rotten Tomatoes scores of movies. The company clearly forgot to change this in time and we now know that Justice League currently has a score of 48% (bear in mind that international reviewers have yet to weigh in and there's every chance this could rise or fall dramatically over the next few days).
The original plan was for the number to be revealed on Thursday at 12.01am PT and that's probably still going to happen. Speculation has run rampant that Warner Bros. - which owns a minority stake in Rotten Tomatoes - could have pressured the company into withholding it but that's highly unlikely. Either way, the chances of Justice League being Certified Fresh appear slim. What do you think?
