This film has been the subject to much hype lately and as I was walking to the cinema, me and my friends were thinking, will it live up to the hype. It does?

This is simply the greatest superhero movie I have ever seen. It's simply amazing ,the film has everything, action, comedy, drama, even a love story(sort of). And when I was in the cinema watching it, it was packed. I was watching people coming and some people I was like they're not going to enjoy this film. Even a really old couple sat in front of me. And I thought the exact same. But everyone loved it. The atmosphere in the room was immense, everyone laughed at the funny bits, and in the final BD scene everyone was silent. No cough no food been in crunched. Everyone was silent. And I would like to say I live In Aberdeen in Scotland and I have never seen at the end of a film absolutly everybody stand up and the room and clap and cheer for the film, that just doesn't happen up here.

As I'm sure most of you know the synopsis of the film. Dave an average kid decides to make a costume and fight crime. This fails in a way until the end of the film when he realises what a hero is. In the film there is also big dady and hit girl whilst the undercover son red mist. All of these actors portray there roles brilliantly. Big daddy I am so very happy at how the movie changed him from the comic book. Instead of making the orign story of him and hit girl fake they kept it an made him look a hero. Not knocking the comic but I thought this translated better in the movie.hit girl e everyone says she is the star of the show. She is but I think she's as much a star as anyone of them. Her scenes are amazing and fun and you instantly fall in love with her when she enters as hit girl with the sword in the gangsters chest. Red mist I thought was good too. He was funny and chris has certainly knocked the mclovin sign off his head.I thought he was perfectly cast. And now kick ass. I loved this guy soo much in the film. In a way he is a background character in this film. But he for arron to be pretty much a rookie he is brilliant. He plays dave convincingly and I believe he is the star of the show.

The action and pacing in the film are top nocth. Mathew vaughn knows when exactly to inject humour and action to it. The thing that shocked me the most was the emotion used in the film. I mean this is shown definantly when big daddy dies. This is my favourite scene of the film and also when you see big daddy through teddy camera. Overall kick ass is by far better than the dark knight and is amazing and there deinantly be a sequel. If you have read all this thanks for reading for I have never wrote a movie review before. Overal: 5 out of 5

I doubt Kick-Ass will be better than the Dark-freakin-Knight. I will be shocked if it somehow gets better reviews than The Dark Knight.

Woah... Big Daddy DIED?!?!?! You know, i was expecting a spoiler or two, maybe more. But a bomb like this?!?!?!? If only you actually had a reason behind putting that bomb in there. Honestly, your whole review could have done without it.

Tht was the whole point in spoiler alert shaman. And this is not your review this is mine and I wanted to show some of the emotion in the film. If you didn't want to know then don't read it

Dude, it's okay, i was just surprised is all. I'm not the kind of guy that actually minds spoilers, i just don't see the logic in laying it all out like that. You could still have commented on the film's surprising emotional scenes without the bomb. But it's all good, your review, not mine. Most reviews, and i say this purely out of constructive criticism, do give some spoilers but still keep the big stuff hush hush so to keep the readers' anticipation boiling. But it's your call.

I highly doubt this movie is better than the Dark Knight this is just another enjoyable movie but TDK is a masterpiece with great characters, story, and action.

Good review dude, but I have to agree with Shaman here..Spoiler Alert usually means that you'l talk a little about some more in depth plot points..maybe a specific scene or 2, but giving away the fate of a main character isn't generally a good idea!

What he says is true - this is a masterpiece with great characters. It IS a completely different film to TDK, but it's also a hell of a lot more fun. Both are great films and there's no need to get in a twist about that - there's plenty of room for both to exist without 'competing' for our affections.

I agree with some of the comments in that you probably shouldn't have given away that plot point - there's no point writing a review for people who have already seen the movie, so you have to show some consideration for those who haven't seen it yet.

You could have commented on that scene without actually revealing explicitly what happens. Just trying to be constructive rather than critical.
