KINGSMAN: THE GREAT GAME Moves To Valentine's Day 2020; Ryan Reynolds' FREE GUY Set For July 2020

As the Disney acquisition swiftly approaches, 20th Century Fox has reshuffled a number of their upcoming releases.

First, they've pushed back Matthew Vaughn's Kingsman: The Great Game, from this coming November to Valentine's Day, February 14, 2020.

The Kingsman spinoff, which is rumored to be set during World War I, is currently in filming in the United Kingdom and will feature an impressive star cast that includes Harris Dickinson, Ralph Fiennes, Daniel Brühl, Charles Dance, Rhys Ifans, Matthew Goode, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Gemma Arterton, Tom Hollander, Djimon Hounsou, Stanley Tucci, Alison Steadman, Robert Aramayo, and Neil Jackson.

Vaughn is also expected to begin work on Kingsman 3, with Taron Egerton and Colin Firth expected to reprise their roles, following the conclusion of The Great Game.

In other news, it appears the studio is quite bullish on James Mangold's Ford v. Ferrari, which stars Matt Damon and Christian Bale in the lead roles, as they've vacated its previous summer release date and moved it to November 15, 2020, which is right smack dab in the center of awards season.

The studio has also dated the Ryan Reynolds' Free Guy for July 3, 2020. The Shawn Levy-directed action comedy is said to revolve around a background character who realizes he’s living in a video game. With the help of an avatar, he tries to prevent the makers of the game from shutting down his world.

Considering all three aforementioned films will likely open under the Disney banner as the acquisition is expected to close within the next few months, this should be promising news for the House of Mouse as they are on the verge of inheriting quite a few promising upcoming titles.

Free Guy sounds pretty fun actually, and I expect Reynolds to make it really enjoyable.

@HeavyMetal4Life - i agree. Plus, the movie added Lil Rel as his best friend in a mentioned video game, so I think we'll get some hilarious back and forth.

Free Guy? Is that a play on the term noobsand parents use when they get an "extra life"?

Disney is also going to have the rights to a live-action Dragon Ball movie when the deal of acquiring Fox is closed.

I’m kinda disappointed they moved kingsman but at least it will be a better movie to watch on Valentine’s Day than some stupid romcom.

Take that “Birds of Prey”. Sorry Bloodshot.

But seriously three R-rated comic book movies three weekends in a row. That can’t be the smartest idea.
