NOMAD Project Rumored To Be In Development At Marvel Studios

We're not sure if it's a movie or something for Disney+, but it looks like a Nomad project of some description is in development at Marvel Studios. Could it tie-into The Falcon and The Winter Soldier?

Marvel announced and confirmed plans for several upcoming projects last Thursday during Disney's Inventors Day, but it looks like one intriguing-sounding property was absent from the presentation.

Murphy's Multiverse is reporting that “Marvel Studios Nomad” has now been trademarked along with Secret Invasion, Ironheart and Armor Wars. This would seem to suggest that Nomad will be yet another Disney+ series, but that's far from the only possibility.

Before the release of Avengers: Infinity War, there was a lot of speculation that Steve Rogers would ditch the Captain America persona and suit-up as Nomad, and while he did wind up embracing the spirit of the wandering vigilante in the movie, he never officially took up that mantle. Of course, Rogers' superhero days are long behind him in the current timeline, but he wasn't the only character to operate under the moniker of Nomad in the comics.

Jack Monroe could be introduced at some point, or perhaps Wyatt Russel's US Agent from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will don the mantle once Sam Wilson officially becomes the new Cap?

With the MCU set to embrace the Multiverse in a big way, it's difficult to even hazard a guess as to what this project will entail and which character it'll focus on, but the source has been spot on with other recent scoops, so we are inclined to believe that something involving Nomad is indeed in the works.

What do you guys make of this? Any interest in a Nomad series or movie? Drop us a comment down below.

Nomad? Like Jack Monroe? Really? I don’t get that one. Now U.S. Agent on the other hand could be fun depending on how Falcon and Winter Soldier goes...

I'm calling all rumor not going to happen.

I don't know about this one. I'd rather have a Captain Britain series.

Isn’t Nomad just Steve Rogers though?

I guess it would be a show depicting the gap between Civil War and Infinity War, showing us what Cap (Nomad) and his team were up to in that time?

It'll end up being a Rikki Barnes show. I really like her, but I can just imagine everyone being all pissy about it.

I’d definitely take an animated series based on Steve’s post-Civil War adventures, or on his time travel ones.

I thought there was a rumor that Evans might have filmed something extra when they were doing Infinity War and Endgame back to back. I think speculation was that it could have been a short that involved what happened when he went through time to return the stones. Maybe that rumor was true and this is it. Makes sense to call it Nomad since Falcon is set to be Captain America.

@Supervenge - Falcon can never be Cap, he can only wield the shield when available. Steve gave him the shield, not the uniform or title.

@JonC - I have a feeling the very end of season one of Falcon Winter Soldier, Sam earns the title Captain America. After the credits, the title Nomad pops up. We then watch Steve take back all the stones. After he gives the last stone back to Red Skull, the Time Authority shows up. They ask, “Do you know Loki?” Leads into Loki episode 1.

@Supervenge - not sure which way this will play out but i think all these series and movies proposed are a lot more intertwined than people are expecting. I can bet you will see Loki at some point in WandaVision and BW in the Loki series... its all connected. If Loki is to work with the TVA to address all the changes in the timeline he created and people he hurt... then he may factor into a ton of stuff like the creation of Wanda and Pietro, Vision and the death of BW. He does seem to be brought in front of a court and have to address his crimes specifically with relation to time alteration and its residual effects.

I like the idea that John Walker, after Falcon becomes Cap and he loses the opportunity and the admiration of the people, also loses the direction of his life and becomes a character similar to The Punisher. An anti-hero.

Huh. Ok. Well, it's worth pointing out that the same movie that gave us Old Man Cap also featured a method of de-aging his body.

@Franshu - Naw, they haven't even gotten to the C-list yet. We're still another 10 years away from the Paste-Pot-Pete and Dodgeball team up series.

No idea what could be going on in Feige's mind with a Nomad project and the news of yet another new show in the works sounds even too much right now, but we'll see what ends up happening. He's surprised us before, could be as innovative or as close as it gets to WandaVision.
