Tamashii Nations is teaming up with its distribution partner, Bluefin, to bring collector's toys aimed at ages 15 and up to the North American masses. Tamashii Nations’ portfolio has grown to include products from top entertainment properties such as Star Wars, Marvel, WWE, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and DC as well as Japanese anime and manga properties. These Western licenses have led to a massive increase in popularity for the brand among toy collectors across the globe.

“Tamashii Nations is an authentic Japanese brand, however, North America is an important part of our growth strategy,” said Adam Newman, Senior Director of Tamashiii Nations at Bandai. “To facilitate that growth, we’ve opened a Los Angeles office to better understand our U.S. fans and capitalize on the advantages of local access to the entertainment industry, retail partners, and our official distribution partner Bluefin.”

New York City will be one of 10 major cities around the world to welcome Tamashii Nations during part of the brand's international touring exhibit this spring. The Tamashii Nations 10th Anniversary World Tour will take place on Sat. and Sun., April 29-30 at the Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan. More details are available HERE.

Bluefin will showcase an extensive collection of Tamashii Nations releases at Toy Fair New York, on February 18-21 at the Jacob K. Javitz Convention Center in New York City. The annual conference and trade show is the industry’s largest event. Bluefin will be located in Booth #5331. Additional product information on Tamashii Nations products is available HERE.

SHF is the best line in the 6-inch scale (roughly 1/12 scale) taking into account quality, price and diversity. Hopefully this will make other US companies up their game for competition purposes (even though stuff like Marvel Legends will always be a diff kind of product cause the price range & quality is completely different).

@SwampThing - for a casual AS F*CK collector like me, the legends line is a godsend.

I'm going to make this a marvel bs DC thing.

Now I only buy cheap figures, but out of those DC IS KILLING MARVEL.

The difference between their twelve inch lines is staggering. The marvel titans have a better texture and detail, but their joints are terrible.

While the DC ones have almost fully functional hips the marvel ones can barely move. Their extremely stiff, but their attention to detail almost makes it worth it. Out of my cheap six inch figures I'd say DC wins as well. I've got wolverine and doctor strange from the more collectible line that comes with stands and shit, and they piss me off. Strange is straight up made incorrectly, they [frick]ed up with the mold, and it makes it so part of the stand has to hang loosely or not be used at all. It's a stain glass window directly behind him, so it's pretty [frick]ing lame that I can't get it to stand up straight. My wolverine is pretty rad, but his claws look terrible and he can barely move.

Meanwhile my DC figures once again are superior in joint movement. The paint is really great whiley marvel ines look kind of goofy, especially the legends.

So, out of my very limited exposure to collecting action figures, DC kicks marvel's ass.

But I'm just a marvel fanboy that hates all things DC according to some of the bigger idiots on this site -_-
