STV spoke to comic book writer and film producer Mark Millar, who this week is acting as an ambassador for the Glasgow Film Festival, leading its Superheroes in Glasgow section.

Millar said the following about his work:

"I’ve got three new projects now there, two of them are getting turned into films at the moment. One of them is called Nemesis, which I’m doing with Tony Scott over at 20th Century Fox, and a new book I’ve got out just now called Superior, which is my very first ever children’s thing, it’s aimed at an all-ages audiences."

STV also said:

With his "day job", Millar went on to explain that he didn’t find it odd switching between work on Nemesis and Superior: "Doing the violent stuff and doing the family-friendly stuff appeals to both sides of my brain. I love ET as much as I love Reservoir Dogs."

"I think if I was just doing violent, horrible stuff all the time I’d get a bit sick of it, so it’s nice to have the light and the shade together, and it makes the work a wee bit more interesting."
