Tom King (Mister Miracle, Swamp Thing, Nightwing, The Vision) will pen the script for the upcoming film with its director Ava DuVernay. The news was first reported by The Wrap before being confirmed via Twitter by DuVernay herself.

It's been a while since we had any New Gods updates, and the fact that King - who won an Eisner Award for his work on Mister Miracle - is going to be involved with bringing Jack Kirby's creations to the big screen should please fans of the mega-powerful characters.
