The recent Star Trek movie is still not as good as Undiscovered Country, Wraith of Khan, or Voyage Home. It's great don't get me wrong. But as the Redlettermedia review says, it's sci-fantasy, not sci-fi.

It's because of that I'm a bit anxious about the new sequels. I think it's taking Star Trek in the wrong direction, away from Gene Roddenberry's dream, you know.

Star Trek is awesome! It actually redeemed Orci-Kurtzman for me. You know, after the shitfest they called Transformers, I almost steered clear off anything with their names on it. But since I'm a long time Trek fan, I thought I gave them one last chance. And it paid off.

I guess they work upon request. If you want mindless explosions with fart/testicles jokes, they can make it. If you want good story, they can provide it as well. LOL!

orehrepus- those movies are transformers they have any vehicle thats turns into a giant robot which is what transformer about and fighting bad robots that want to take over earth and turn it 2 there new home so how isn't that transformers?

soul- whop gives a shit about those old movies this new movie was better than all those old movies they made non-fans turn into fans and people that don't like movies like these like i me actually like these movie. so they are going on a great direction with this movie cause is not what you want is what they think will be good causer like da guy said on the video "it aint about the villains but about the relationship between the group"

Liking one Star Trek movie doesn't make you a fan. I like the song Two Princes, but that doesn't make me a fan of Spin Doctors.

@dellamorte1872 Star Trek the motion picture is awesome. A perfect Star Trek film. Not something trying to appease the neutral but just a film that stays true to all the characters. I definitely recommend you watch the Redlettermedia reviews - providing you have hours to waste.

@flames809: I never said they weren't Transformers. I thought they were very much Transformers and frickin GREAT in that respect. However, the scripts for both movies were total SHIT! Shit story with shit dialogues and shit jokes. Hence the word "shitfest". LOL!

However, that's my opinion. Although a lot seem to agree, you don't have to. :)
