War Machine's Whereabouts During THE AVENGERS Revealed Via IRON MAN 3 Prelude

For fans of James Rhodes left wondering where War Machine was during The Avengers movie, we now find out exactly what happened.....

Turns out War Machine was battling it out with some bad guys in Asia.

The Iron Man 3 prelude comic book was released today where we see Tony Stark calling his buddy for assistance to fight against Loki's invading army; however, War Machine was on the other side of the world and it would have taken him too long to fly over.

We can assume that since this is an Iron Man 3 prelude and that Rhodey was in Asia that it might have something to do with the Mandarin and the upcoming movie.

Makes perfect sense seeing as how Avengers featured the shortest war ever
(One of my best films of all time BTW) Oh, and first

I really enjoyed this prelude comic. Filled in a lot of questions for me. It makes sense now why we see the Mark II armor in Tony's hall of armors since he took all the Hammer crap off of it ;)

JokerFanHAhaHA- Well, personally since The Government wasn't helping Shield, it would make sense just to have him unauthorized and unable to help, but this is good too.

Really? There's was an Alien Attack going on, I think the military would have used every resource available to them.. right?

Does War Machine being in Asia somehow connect to The Madarin?

@Dionysios Yeah it looks kinda crappy, but I don't think they were really trying their hardest for a 2 part comic prelude either haha.

@jokerhahaha

I don't remember any shield agents fighting other than Widow (Hawkeye came off as a merc working for shield to me). But I seem to remember seeing soldiers which would mean the national guard. But anyway the conflict happened quickly and ended quickly cuz it needed to. There were only six of them and they didn't know what they were doing in the conflict.

Or he could've been on the toilet or something simple. Not like they are in the suits all the time, or let alone anywhere near the suit... Not crazy about his reasoning of not flying to new york either, who could've predicted that the battle would last for five minutes? Any help, even if a little late, is a good thing

idk, I feel they just tried to hard in explaining themselves here
