The fight against COVID-19 in the U.S. is ramping up, and Warner Bros, the CDC, and Ad Council have teamed up to raise awareness about the importance of wearing masks.

The 30-second promo includes masked up characters from franchises like Mad Max, The Matrix, and Harry Potter. However, there are lots of DC characters on show as well, with the likes of the Flash, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, and even Joaquin Phoenix's Joker among those highlighted.

Visual effects have obviously added these masks, but the video still serves as a clever way to spread this message. It's all part of the national #MaskUpAmerica campaign being pushed by the new administration. WarnerMedia did something similar with a series of posters featuring its DC superheroes from The CW, so them fully committing to this cause isn't a surprise.

You have to believe the studio got permission from these actors to use their likenesses in this way, though there's some archive footage here as well, so perhaps they can do what they like with it!

Regardless, it's hard to argue with this being anything other than a good cause, and WarnerMedia can do a lot of good by using these iconic characters to raise awareness across the U.S.
