Editorial: SPIDER-MAN VS BATMAN, Who would win ?

Spider-Man is arguably one of, if not the most popular of Marvel characters, hence the first crossover utilizing him and Superman. While the odds of Spider-Man beating Supes are little to none, can he take on the World's Greatest Detective?

I am not making this article to start a big messy war amongst us CBM user's, but to end one of my own, outside of this site. My friend says one guy, and I cant help but to always go with the other on most circumstances.

They are not fighting to the death but just who can put the their opponent down first, completely. There isn't a place for them that is already set up, they can fight anywhere and it doesn't really matter. The same rules goes for each of them, Batman nor Spider-Man will have any prep time, they just meet at this random place, have their differences and they just go at it. To make things simpler, wherever they are is a deserted area so no innocents would be in the way. A legitimate fight is what I am looking for meaning don't just say, "because he's Batman." They have all they're tactics, weapons, gadgets, mindset, all that. Again Batman doesn't have prep time and Spider-Man is in his regular red and blue suit, no symbiote and no 6 or 8 arms either.

I really want to get everyone else's opinion and I will base my answer over who has more votes assuming I get enough in the comment section. Of course that isn't the best way to find the truth, but most of the videos on youtube compare unnecessary things like box office money for example, which has nothing to do with what the characters can. I know a lot about both of these characters, but there are people on this site that know way, way more than I probably will ever know. It's pretty early in the morning so I know what I've written isn't in ship shape but I really want to know who would take home this metaphorical trophy.

Please be respectful with your opinions and I hope this goes well. God bless to everyone and peace out.

Spiderman no blatant exploitable weakness and he isn’t as complacent as Kent with the use of his powers. I will say however Batman isn’t totally outmatched and has a chance to win as always.

Well, i haven't read any of their comics, so based on what i've seen in the movies, Spider-Man would destroy Batman and quietly easily.

Yeah I guess with the movies spiderman would win only because bales batman hasn't dealt with supernatural elements.. Irk just my opinion

With the situation you set up, Spidey would mop the floor with Bats.

In fact, the only chance Batman would EVER have against Spider-Man is if he knew who Spidey was and had time to prep. Even then I'm not so sure.

Even with his gadgets, Batman can't match Spidey's speed, agility, strength.

We're talking about someone that could easily put Batman down with one punch. Plus, he's got the speed to get around Batman's defenses.

Striking from the shadows wouldn't do shit because of Spidey's spider sense. So it would come down to a straight up fight and Spidey would annihilate him.

of course Spiderman would win, his power level is a lot higher than Batman's. Unless Batman creates a suit of armor that enchances his strength and speed.
However if Batman can beat Superman he could find a way to kill Spiderman, but realistically or in a way that makes sense it hard to see Batman beating anyone with real powers.

Spider-Man could break every bone in Bats's body with a single punch. That's a fact.

@EVERYONE
I want spiderman to win I won't lie, but if batman did have prep time and spider too (even tho idk what he'd do) then how would it change things?

Spider-Man could predict everything Bats was gonna do. Thus his planning is redundant.

Spidey would win for sure.

Spider-man will almost always win the random encounter.

Okay, evidently someone needs to vote for Batman, so I'll do it. Spideman=overrated. Batman probably carries bug spray on his belt, and that would do it, lol.

I like Batman a hell of a lot more than Spider-Man but I have to admit Spider-man would easily beat Batman in a fight. He has much the same skill set as Batman and has powers. His spider sense alone would give him a huge advantage. The spider sense would render Batman's stealth and misdirection skills worthless.
