How Many Oscars Are 2014's Comic Book Movies Nominated For? Here's The Full List

Guardians of the Galaxy leads the pack, but Captain America: The Winter Soldier and X-Men: Days of Future past are there too. Sadly, everything isn't awesome for The LEGO Movie, as it's been snubbed! Wait, what?! Hit the jump for the FULL list of Oscar nominees...

As usual, the list of Oscar nominees is pretty terrible. Most of the people and/or films which didn't deserve a nod are here, while those that did aren't. For proof of that, look no further than the major snubs for the likes of Gone Girl, Interstellar, and The LEGO Movie! Still, Marvel Studios nabbed a total of three nominations for Guardians of the Galaxy and Captain America: The Winter Soldier, while X-Men: Days of Future Past picked up one as well. The Amazing Spider-Man 2? Nothing (duh). Here are the full list of nominees anyway. What do you guys think of this year's list?

Jake gyllenhaal should've been nominated for nightcrawler, he was astounding in that film.

Gyllenhaal should have definitely gotten a nomination for Nightcrawler. At least it got a nomination for something...

It's not terrible at all. Only like 3 snubs ( Lego movie, jake g/ oyellowo and gone girl)

If Pike can get a nomination for Gone Girl, then Gyllenhaal should have gotten one for Nightcrawler.

The Lego movie was great, but the ending with Will Farrel ruined it's chances of getting an Oscar

Gyellenhall got ripped-off the guy was fantastic in Nightcawler. Pike will probably end up winning, she pretty much carried Gone Girl. Hopefully a comic book movie wins something, best bet will probably be Guardians for hair & makeup and Big Hero 6 for animation.

Please let Intersteller win best original score.

Never forget, The Social Network winning over Inception for best original score.

Wow, Selma only got two nominations??? What about director or best actor. David Oyelowo was phenomenal.

I seriously believe Guardians can get the Oscar for best makeup and hairstyling.

Bradly Cooper nominated again? typical Oscar stuff. Its like Jennifer, anything they do now is Oscar material, apparently lol.

No Jake, no Tom Hardy either?.... Oscars play safe as always
TheOverlord

The exclusion of The Lego Movie is even more baffling when you consider that The Tale of Princess Kaguya was actually a 2013 film. (It just wasn't released in the U.S. until 2014 - I guess that's what these are judged by?)

Holy Rusted Metal Batman! Grand Budapest and Birdman were friggin AMAZING movies! I hope those two sweep. Awesome, awesome awesome.

the social network's score isn't even memorable. Play any track from the Inception soundtrack, it's superior in almost every way.

And Interstellar got snubbed on the cinematography category. But 5 nominations isn't bad at all.
GhostDog

Bradley cooper shouldn't even be I there. Gyllenhaal should for nightcrawler. Coopers film just came out and they're letting it in this year's oscars....He's aching for a win damn. Thirsty. Same noms for CBM visual effects and costume. Emma stone barely did anything. Way to snub nightcrawler...American sniper I think got it snubbed. You can't get released the same year as oscars and be nominated and that's what sniper did. It was originally supposed to co.e out Christmas but didnt. Came out like last week or this week. Wtf

neither Oscar Isaac.

Its like Fassbender being ignored for Shame too. Oscars are too politically correct

I guarantee that a CBM or sci-fi movie will win for Best Visual Effects. I can feel it. THIS IS OUR YEAR!!!
