Kevin Feige Reveals That Marvel Studios Have Planned Out Their Movies As Far As 2028

We all know that Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios are planning for the future when it comes to both their existing and upcoming comic book movie franchises, but it's fair to say that none of could have quite possibly imagined just how far ahead they're looking.

Or perhaps Iger has a built-in GPS for acquiring studios that can tell stories. Much of Marvel’s success can be attributed to Feige. He has a special understanding of comics, fans, superheroes, and narrative. He concedes that Marvel won’t recover the film rights to Spider-Man or the X-Men anytime soon but says Marvel has something more valuable: a universe of thousands of characters it controls entirely.

Feige can produce an unlimited number of films with interweaving story lines and characters, creating a vast audience for almost any Marvel movie. People might show up for The Avengers, meet the Black Widow, and come back for her movie, too. There’s a map of films reaching far into the next decade on the wall of Feige’s office. “It’s like looking through the Hubble telescope. You go, ‘What’s happening back there? I can sort of see it,’ ” he laughs. “They printed out a new one recently that went to 2028.”

Of course, while many of those plans are likely to be provisional at this stage, it shows that Feige's long-term vision for the Marvel Cinematic Universe is something we should all be very excited about. He recently hinted that he believes that approaching these characters as the James Bond movies have in terms of simply recasting the lead part and continuing the story would be a better option that constant ill-received reboots. As this world of heroes continues to expand both on the big screen and commercially, it's likely that the next decade or more is going to be something truly special for us fans. Now, where's my Captain Britain movie Kevin?

Damn. The thing is, will they all be quality films? Cause you can plan out 100 films, then have 95 of them be duds. Ease up pal.

Cause it would suck to have all these plans and preparations in place, then 95% of the films tank.

What does this mean? Every character you've ever wanted to see on film will be put on film EVENTUALLY. They won't ever reboot the series, and there is room to play (just like the comics) As long as they make money they'll make the movies. NOW HERE'S THE ONLY ISSUE. They have to keep making them good, or else it will just completely tank. Also people will have to get over the "Were's this hero for this story" and "Why isn't this guy helping this guy?" Not every hero has to be explained as to why they aren't helping people in their solo adventures. The comics never do, and neither should the movies.

If a majority of the films between now and 2028 are as good as Iron Man 2, then I will have a crow barbecue ready for most of the users on this site.

Disney is literally making all the money now. They have Star Wars which will make a billion, Marvel, which makes billions, now they need to buy DC and give them their own studio.

If Disney bought DC that'd be glorious. Chances it would happen are pot, though.

As long as they keep making quality films, it can go another 50 years. The thing about is that Feige realizes they have to be quality. Once someone else takes over will they have the same vision? MS could easily turn into Fox if the right people arent leading it in the right direction.

@Pasto

They could make every movie the same quality as IM2, and they'd still crush the DCCU! Lol.

I kid, I kid.

I, for one, have at the very least, been entertained by every MCU movie, and I don't expect that to change. Sometimes a good popcorn flick is all that's required. Honestly, do you think we could get a serious, intellectual, story-driven She-Hulk movie? With some of the Marvel properties, you just gotta have fun, because there may not be any substance to bring to the screen.

Feige does a shitload more than just talk. The man is the architect of the quickest rising movie studio in history, and soon to have the most lucrative franchise in history as well.
