KNIVES OUT Sequel Confirmed; Rian Johnson Says It Will Be A "Totally New" Cast

Knives Out was such a brilliant and fun mystery flick. Rian Johnson, who wrote and directed it, will be developing a sequel to the whodunit original idea. Question is, what will the next mystery be?

Last November, Knives Out won over the hearts of critics and fans with a thrilling story of a family ingrained in a murder mystery. Daniel Craig played one of the main characters, Benoit Blanc, who was the top detective on the case. Now, it looks like he's coming back with a sequel.

Variety caught up with Rian Johnson, and he had this to say about it.

“It’s going to be Daniel (Craig) playing Benoit Blanc, the detective. Other than that, all bets are off. It’s a totally new cast,” Johnson said at the Oscars. He continued, "I want everybody! Just point. Throw a rock on this red carpet and you’ll hit someone that I want in the movie,” Johnson said.

Sounds like he's excited, that's for sure. Knives Out ended up with $300 million at the box office off a $40 million dollar budget, so it definitely made its money back. The potential storylines, subplots, and plot twists are endless for a Knives Out sequel, so fans of the movie should be happy that Blanc isn't done with his job just yet.

Who would you want to have in the new cast? And are you excited for a Knives Out sequel regardless? Leave your thoughts down below.
