Leaders, Bases, and the 5 best Marvel Movies

I think we can all agree that Daredevil may make a killer card when trying to beatdown your friends on the cardboard battlefield, but his movie is not one of Marvel's best. With 22 years of films to choose from, what would be your Top Five?

It was recently revealed that the Leader characters in the game will be backed by their repective Base resources. This is an exciting and original idea. It might not be enough, however, to get the Fantastic Four movies on anybody's list. Upper Deck will be including the full stable of Marvel's cinematic catalog, which will actually make some of them look better than ever.

Here are our choices for the best 5 Marvel movies.

1. Blade 2.

The opening Blood Bath rave scene in the first Blade set the bar, and the Marvel movies never looked back. When Guillermo Del Toro took the reigns, things got really scary, including two of his future Hellboy stars and a mess of mandibles.

2. X2.

Seeing Wolverine stradled by a smorgasbord of sexy mutants in a tent is worth the price of admission all by itself. Bamfing into the oval office with Nightcrawler is gravy. Hearing Logan say "Art" wins the slot.

3. Iron Man

I can see why people put this in first place, but not me. I predict that Iron Man 2 will set new box office records, and Pepper Potts is still topless in Shakespeare in love. Oh yeah, the Iron Monger is going to win an Oscar this year.

4. X-Men: The Last Stand.

I really believe this movie got a bad rap. Sure, it threw decades of comic book continuity out the window. Yes, it took liberties straight off the edge of the world and stopped the franchise dead in its tracks. But. I love the sheer volume of characters. I adore the exploding Professor scene. And, most important of all, it had massive Madrox. Multiple Man FTW.

5. Spider-Man.

Kiss. Upside-down. In the rain.

That's my list. I will play whatever Marvel Superstars characters fulfill my favorite strategy themes, but when it comes to movies things are different. Typhoid and Tattoo will make killer cardboard, but their home movie is wack.

How about you? What are your Top 5 Marvel movies?

Awesome, thanks. I haven't figured out how to make a poll yet but you have inspired me.

I know my choices are personal, and your list looks about right as a consensus, but I really think the first two Blades are top notch.

1-Iron Man
2-X2
3-Incredible Hulk
4-Spider-man 2
5-Daredevil

i actually like the Daredevil film but like X3, it got a bad rap and if you base it on the theatrical, you have a point.
but even you have to admit that the Director's Cut was a MAJOR improvement.

Wadey, indeed. And, if this was Top 5 Scenes...

I could see a vote for the teeter totter on either version!
