In the worlds of comics and CBM's we have seen some amazing objects. From Captain America's shield to seven mystical Dragon Balls. Here are five awesome objects that I am sure we all have wanted to get our hands on at some point in life, or maybe not, but you do have to admit they are very cool!
In no particular order:
1. The Lantern Ring
The Lantern Ring, come on we all want one, but which one would you want? Green? Red? Blue? I am sure you would choose wisely.
The First Lantern ring was, of course The Green Lantern ring. That was the one that started it all. The Ring will grant the wearer incredible power and abilities. It has been said that the Green Lantern Ring is the most powerful weapon in the universe. The GL Ring can do almost anything, but it just depends on the wearer of the ring and how strong their willpower is. In the hidden section of the Book of Oa, there was a prophecy about the War of Light and the Blackest Night. It foretold of the rise of several other Lantern Corps after fear rises (The events of the Sinestro Corp War). There are 9 different rings. The corps that exists are as follows: Black (Death), Blue (Hope) Green (Willpower) Orange (Avarice), Yellow (Fear), Red (Rage), Violet (Love), Indigo (Compassion) and White (Life).
With all Lantern rings, comes an oath.
For example, the Red Lantern oath is as follows:
With blood and rage of crimson red
Ripped from a corpse so freshly dead
Together with our hellish hate
We'll burn you all--That is your fate!
I choose this Oath because I think it is the best.
First appearance: All-American Comics #16 (July, 1940)
2.
Lazarus Pit
You go in dead, you come out insane. Well that really isn't a bad thing is it? It is not if you are gonna be kept alive for as long as you want.
The Lazarus Pit is used by Ra's al Ghul to regenerate his body. When the pit is used to heal or even bring someone back to life, that person is rendered temporarily insane (although one instance when it was used for the Joker, it temporarily rendered him sane). Eventually all of the Lazarus Pits were apparently destroyed by Bane and Batman, except for one.
The Lazarus Pit has the power/ability to permanently heal all the injuries that a person may have and bring them back their youth, but of course they will still get old afterwards. The pit has been known to bring back the dead. For maximum efficiency however, a decedent must be placed within the Lazarus pit within a relatively short period of time following their death. Although older bodies may be resurrected, there is no guarantee that they will return in perfect condition. On one occasion, Ra's exhumed the bodies of Thomas and Martha Wayne, threatening to immerse them in the pit, transforming them into undead zombies
First appearance: Batman #232 (June, 1971)
3.
TARDIS (Time and Relative Dimension in Space)
The Doctor's Space Ship and Time Machine. It can take you anywhere in time you want to go. Now I know we all want this, why wouldn't we? Go anywhere and at any point in time.
The TARDIS is the main space-time vehicle used by Time Lords. TARDIS's usually moved through time and space by "disappearing there and reappearing here", a process known as "de- and re-materialisation". This was controlled by a component called the dematerialisation circuit. They also could fly through space like conventional spacecraft, but doing so for prolonged periods could do damage to the ship. A TARDIS is also the most recognizable of the Time Lords technology. The Doctor's TARDIS chameleon circuits broke and are permanently a police box. Other TARDIS's will adapt to any era they are in, camouflaging to look like it belongs in that time zone. The inside of a TARDIS is much bigger than the outside. Some can even be the size of a city inside, though this is limited by the amount of power the TARDIS can generate.
One of the most interesting characteristics of a TARDIS is the fact that they are not built, rather grown and are sentient creatures in their own right.
First appearance: Doctor Who #1 (November 1963)
4.
Batman's Utility Belt
Batman's Utility Belt. Ask any Bat-Fan and they will tell you it has exactly what you need, no matter what situation you are in. No matter what, I think this would be awesome to have, even if you hate Batman, you want his Utility Belt.
To know the contents of Batman's UB is unknown, and he seems to change them, based on the case he is doing. His uncanny ability to have exactly what he needs is legendary. The pockets on the Utility Belt are always locked, and only Batman himself knows how to open them. The belt is made up of a Kelvar strap with a metal buckle. The belt houses ten cylinders which vertically clip to the outside of the belt. There are pockets between the cylinders, as well as hidden pockets on the inside of the belt used for housing one of his various batarangs. The cylinders house different tools for crime fighting. Everyone in the "Batman Family" has a Utility Belt and they all have the same designs on their Belts. Batman's belt has a security device on it where it can electrically shock someone or detonate an explosive device to prevent anyone from tampering with it. Batman has created many belts for different occasions, and most of them will act the same way the original belt operates.
Some of the gadgets in his belt include: Smoke Grenades and Pellets, Batarangs, Grappling Hook, Gas Mask, Night Vision Goggles, Communicators, Lock Picks, Cuffs, Sonic Grenades, Flash Grenades, Mini-Mines, Thermite Explosives, Plastique, Tasers, Brass Knuckles, Tactical Knife, Mini-Computer, and a Kryptonite Ring.
1st Appearance: Detective Comics #29
5.
Adamantium
A virtually indestructible man-made metal in the Marvel Universe. Without a healing factor it is poisonous inside the body. Yeah, I wouldn't be to keen on getting this, unless of course I had a healing factor to go along with it.
Adamantium Is a virtually indestructible, artificial, iron-based alloy. It is capable of surviving multiple nuclear explosions without taking damage. A pure blade of Adamantium is capable of cutting almost any known substance, with the known exceptions of Adamantium itself and Captain America's shield. The ability to slice completely through a substance with an Adamantium blade depends upon the amount of force being exerted and the density of the material in question (Which is why, for the people that didn't know, or insist on saying, Wolverine wouldn't be able to stab Superman. He wouldn't have enough force. Just for those who say it is possibly)
1st Appearance: The Avengers #66
