Last week a video of a Japanese man dressed up like the Christopher Nolan Batman riding on his own personal Batpod went viral. Now BBC has tracked down the Batman of Japan who refers to himself of Chibatman (after his home city of Chiba) and interviewed him. Chibatman conducted the interview in full costume and refused to reveal his true identity, but did give his reasoning for why he was dressing up like Batman. He wanted to make the people of his country smile after the 2011 tsunami, and has been continually riding around his home city of Chiba ever since.

Cool. I just read about this over at Batman News. I have to say though, Toronto Batman is still the best...

I love how even the voice-over for Batman used the "Batman voice"

I was just about to ask what the hell an Imperial Stormtrooper was doing in the van behind him - but then the article went on to mention that that is his alternate dress-up pastime.

I like the as legal as he can get Batpod trike - but as Edna Mode from The Incredibles said: 'NO CAPES' - He is asking to join stratocaster in having a cape-related fatality by getting his cape caught in the back axles and getting yanked clean off his bike.
