Four new Ghostbusters, four new names.

In a small update for the controversial Ghostbusters reboot, we now have the official names of the new Ghostbusters. They are:

Patty Tolan (Leslie Jones), Abby Yates (Melissa McCarthy), Erin Gilbert (Kristen Wiig), and Jillian Holtzmann (Kate McKinnon).



Whether Tolan, Yates, Gilbert, and Holtzmann have a chance at becoming as iconic as Venkman, Stantz, Zeddemore, and Spengler remains to be seen.

We can find out when the Ghostbusters reboot hits theaters on July 22, 2016.

I have a feeling that Dan Akryod's Ray character will be in charge of the Ghostbusters franchise and license in the movie (like Subway, McDonalds, or Radio Shack, Best Buy), and that the female group is just one of them. Just a guess.

I think if Melissa McCarthy wasn't in this I would be more open to this than I am now. If she does something different than her usual "I'm loud, fat and clumsy" character that she always plays in every movie she's in I'll give it a chance, but something tells me she won't. I like Kristen Wiig, so I hope McCarthy tones it down, along the lines of "Mike and Molly" because I like her in that,or branchs out for once because I really want to like this movie.

Everything about the Spy trailer made me laugh, hysterically. Haven't seen it though, so ...I guess I'm in?

i didn't love "Spy" (although my family kinda did) but Rose Byrne and Statham were great. McCarthy was also pretty good. This is different type of role she's been playing. + she knows how to fight as well.

I was fine with this movie up until they cast McCarthy. I know I am in the minority, but I have not seen anything she has done that I find remotely entertaining.

We knew these names ages ago.
Can not wait for this movie.
Can not wait for the Russo's GhostBusters.

They should get on that Russo Bros. GB movie as soon as they can. They shouldn't wait to see what the reaction to Feig's is.
I've got a feeling that the Russo's version will be different enough from this to stand on it's own, regardless of the fan's reaction to the first one.
