He's got a great voice, the best part about the 'Salem's Lot remake was his narration.

I hope they don't massacre this awesome franchise so i can't wait to see what they come up with. But lowe??? Meh... His voice is a bit soft and... i dunno... anti-climactic. We'll see.

shaman@ i agree, i always pictured marvel voice being deep and bombastic, he is based on the powers of gods afterall. i dont see lowe pulling that off. but the show looks good though. ill watch

When someone cuts the Big Red Cheese, does that translate to a vaginal blood fart?

AsianAvenger- Hyah that could work, not. "Rob smash..." OH!!!!! You meant to play Bruce Banner in live action... I thought you meant for him to actually VOICE HULK in an animated feature. Fart.

wolverinesfury- Although Public Enemies wasn't a "show", he was also in that. And his voice was a thousand times better than Rob Lowe's.

Remember Shazam is just a kid at heart, so even though he has a man's voice, his tone is more innocent than imposing.

lalosuper3001- He should still have a deeper voice than Lowe's. The "tone" is a given though.

FINALLY, the Big Red Cheese is getting some air-time! It's about time DC stopped treating him like a second-stringer and let him run with the big dogs!! All I have to say to DC is PLEASE (pleasepleasepleaseplease) don't play him goofy or for laughs! Give him the respect and dignity he deserves!

Shaman - I agree. Tonally speaking, I don't know if Lowe is the right guy for this gig. I guess we'll have to wait and see...

Soo cool; here's hoping for a great show nevertheless. And he's a main character.. :)

Main? The article said "recurring". So he'll appear in multiple episodes, but won't be a "main" character.

@username786

No worries. Just makin' sure everyone got that.

I'm very excited for this. Here's hoping they use Freddy too!

Yes, because there's no room for humor in a book about kids who run around in colorful tights.

Iconstatic - I've been a Big Red Cheese fan since I was a little kid. You are correct, 'REOCCURING' is not the same as 'MAIN', but the way DC has shoved Captain Marvel to the back of the bus for so long, I'll take anything I can get! It's better than the way they've been treating him - take him out as a novelty 'one-off' character, then put him away when their done playing wth him! As for the humor factor, all I'm saying is I hope they treat the character as three-dimesionally as they do with their big hitters (Batman, Superman, etc.), and not make him a joke!
