Deadline reports that New Regency have acquired the rights to Wytches for Brad Pitt's Plan B production house to produce. Scott Snyder (Batman) writes the comic book series which Jock (Dredd) provides artwork for. The two worked together on a pre-New 52 run which was met with universal critical acclaim. The Image Comics series, "follows Charles Rooks, a loving father who moves his family to a neighboring town in an attempt to help their teenage daughter Sailor recover from a disturbing run-in with a bully. She remains haunted by the traumatic incident, unsure of what actually occurred in the woods and unable to escape a darkness growing around her. When Sailor begins to see familiar shadowed figures, Charles must help his daughter survive a terrifyingly real and mythic presence rooted within the woods and the surrounding local towns." Both Snyder and Jock will serve as executive producers on the adaptation, though there's no word on a release date, cast or director at this point. What do you guys think?

If the Daredevil costume tomorrow doesn't draw out cipher, we're gonna have to form a search party and check every bar in NYC. batz and SuperCat have volunteered to check all the tranny bars.

@B&Y

I just bought it on Wednesday too. It's good. Pretty creepy man.

It's kind of funny, I was just thinking based on the first issue it could work as a movie.

WHA--?? The damn thing only has one issue recenty released, and there are already plans for a movie?? COME ON, at least wait till you see how it ends --- it could end up being a disappointment, like "The Wake"

Good deal. I'll read it tomorrow when I have some down time. I'm really digging the Winterworld series and that'd make for a good flick.

@b&y

I might pick up Winterworld now. I'm always interested in books that could possibly work as a movie. Except for Nicolas Spark books. Oh goodness. I can see Snyders American Vampire becoming a tv series possibly as well.

YES! Just read this yesterday, one of the few I think can translate well to the big screen.

I've never seen this kind of a plot in a horror movie before. It's very innovative, I'm glad that movie makers are open to revolutionary new ideas.

Cool, Snyder deserves it... Still, whilst unrelated, I re-read the Court of Owls storyline a few days ago... Definitely one of the best modern Batman stories around, needs to be translated to film asap, here's hoping Zack Snyder brings Scott on to consult or something when Bats makes his big screen return...
