Many of you growing up may remember the Pee-Wee Herman movies, movies about an impatient but fun-loving man-child who often got into many adventures. The first two films were quite sufccessful, but in 1991, actor Paul Reubens got arrested and withdrew from the public eye.
While it's been almost 14 years since the scandal, Reubens has sinc reappeared as Pee-Wee in scant appearences, with rumors of a third film circulating for some time, it seemed like the film was going nowhere.
However today The Wrap is reporting that the third film, which is set to be produced by Judd Apatow, has found a home at Netflix. Many movies and TV shows have found success on Netflix, and it would seem like a good fit for the comedy sequel.
The project was with Universal for some time, but it seems like that deal has since fallen apart.
A director has not been set, nor are many other details known about the picture. However, todays move makes sense for both parties as Netflix carries many other of Pee-Wee Herman's content and it seemingly does well on the service.
