When you see the new teaser poster for an upcoming superhero epic, it gets you extremely excited, doesn't it? There are hundreds of teaser posters out there that are very well made, but here are my top ten teaser poster pics ever made. So enjoy!

#10. Avengers Teaser Poster

This was it, this was the poster where it had us saying, "Its official! The Avengers are assembling!" While the poster doesn't reveal much at all, it still makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up. Even though I didn't think the movie wasn't the best superhero movie around, this poster still gives me goosebumps.

#9 Spider-man (2002) Teaser poster

Simple and to the point, this teaser poster really brings out the geek in you. Back when I first saw this poster, I couldn't hold in my 'fanboysim'. This poster accurately represents the film itself and was a ingenious idea marketing wise.

#8. The Dark Knight Teaser Poster

The Joker is my favorite batman villain, as he is with millions of other people. Nolan's choice for having the Joker as the main villain in the second film was brilliant. Even more brilliant, they released this teaser poster to get people extremely excited or the new movie. I just love how they used the batman symbol in place of Joker's mouth. Cool as hell!

#7 X-men 3: The Last stand.

While the movie was a big let down, its marketing campaign was spectacular. That's including this juicy looking poster. In a way its really symbolizing the end of an era for X-men, even though we would get three more films following this one. Despite my thoughts on the film itself, this poster is always a visual treat.

#6. The Amazing Spider-man teaser

When I heard the Amazing Spider-man was in production i didn't really care. Mostly because I felt the production was too early following the last film. But this poster really got me interested in what the new film had to offer. The shadow of the spider coming from Peter Parker gives the viewer a sense that this is a much darker take on the character than the Raimi films had given us. Good film, Great poster.

#5. Man of Steel Poster

We hadn't had a great Superman movie in almost thirty years, and Man of Steel finally gave us the Superman movie we deserved. This teaser poster does its job very well. Shows us the title character standing alone looking very heroic. This is a very good way of telling the audience that an old hero is returning.

#4. X-men Days of Future Past Poster.

Again a movie I was skeptical about because I questioned where the film makers would be able to take the story. But with this poster as well as the teaser trailer, my worries and fears have gone away. This poster tells us that we should expect some extensive character development from its title characters and with the X-men universe that's exactly what we need. I really hope this movie lives up to the hype.

#3 The Dark Knight Rises teaser poster

With bane in the background walking away from Batman's broken mask, what more could you want in a teaser poster? This poster tells us that this is definitely the end of Batman, and it gets you emotional when you start to think about it. This poster gets you excited and sad at the same time.

#2 The Wolverine Poster

This poster is so simple, yet so beautiful. I am a huge fan of Japanese art, and I am a huge fan of this poster. This poster portrays the 3/4 of the film, while the theatrical poster where wolverine is on his knees screaming (a generic and lazy poster I might add) symbolizes the final thirty minutes of the film. This poster would have made my #1 spot...however....

#1. Batman Forever Teaser

I know Batman Forever is not a popular subject on this site, but you have to admit, this is one cool Teaser poster! Much like the Dark Knight poster, it makes great use of one of the main villain's attributes by wrapping the Riddler's question mark around the Bat symbol. This is a beautiful poster even though the movie wasn't all that great.

Well there you have it; my top ten best Teaser posters. What are your personal favorites?

That Captain America poster is cool as hell. Ripped right off the pages of a comic book.

As for this article, I'd agree with The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises posters, as well as The Amazing Spider-Man (though the movie sucked), Days of Future Past, and The Avengers. Cool list!

Good stuff, man. These are all great, but my favourite of 'em has gotta be the TDKR, Wolverine, DOFP, and Spidey ones. The Batman Forever one's cool, too. Y'know, I know it's not much to look at it, but I've always loved the one for the '89 Batman.

I mean, it's just the symbol, y'know? Just a f*cking symbol on a black background, but as a child.. I dunno, I guess it just stood out to me. Call it over-active imagination or whatever, but at that age it just grabbed my attention and got me wondering like all good teasers are supposed to.

This is another one:

Now, I'd read the comic a while before the film's announcement.. so to see that on a poster in exactly the same way was pretty f*ckin' cool.
