Recently we took a look at some of the most epic Superman moments on film. Now lets reflect on the "Bad Guys." With the news that Jesse Eisenberg will be playing one of the most notorious villains ever from the DC Comics, its an understatement to say he has some big shoes to fill. Man of Steel Zod for me.

Terence Stamp was great, don't get me wrong, he's the whole reason the character is so iconic. But the movie/acting/effects of those movies are SO dated. It was nice they where able to breathe some fresh air into the character.

The competition is between Heath Ledger, Michael Fassbender and Tom Hiddleston.

Michelle Pfeffier as Catwoman, Dafoe as Goblin, Michael Clarke Duncan as Kingpin, Alfred Molina as Dock Ock, Michael Fassbender as Magneto (Xcellent) Michael Shannon as Zod, Heath Ledger as Joker and Aaron Ackhart's role as Harvey Dent were all great interpretations!

Hiddleston's Loki was more memorable in (Thor and Thor 2) for me. I couldn't even take his avengers role serious. He was way better in Thor: The Dark World though so he gets the job done when it comes to Asgard. Can't wait to see what he brings to the table in Thor 3.

It's between Fassbender's Magneto and ledger's Joker for me.

The most iconic scene isn't even on this list!

Yeah Heath Ledger is obviously number one. His interrogation scene was incredible.

Bane was awesome as well, with his speeches in front of Blackgate Prison and during the football game as the highlights, although I'm partial to the 2 fights and the scene in the prison where he explains everything to Bruce.

I'm not sure Zod from MoS should even be on this list at all, he wasn't all that memorable IMO.

Loki's best scene was in The Avengers when he verbally destroys Black Widow, only to have her turn the tables on him. Amazing acting all the way round.

And of course, Doc Ock was fantastic in Spider Man 2

My biggest complaint about Aaron Eckhart's Two-Face is that he lacks the personality divide. Watch him and listen the lines. He's never conflicted. He doesn't have the alternate personality. There's no internal struggle. The coin flip is nothing more than an outcome...it's not the solution to a battle between his two halves.

Other than that...great list.

Since you went with "iconic," portrayal, I would have gone with some animated (voice-acting) performances. I know you said movies, but you have Rosenbaum's Luthor, and a lot of TV portrayals of villains are iconic. Some of these portrayal include:

*Mark Hamill as the Joker
*Clancy Brown as Lex Luthor
*Brad Garrett as Lobo
*Ron Perlman as Slade (Deathstroke)

Hiddlestone might had been good as Loki but he lacks of a powerful scene to the level of iconic. He has good overall acting but strictly talking about single scenes I would take Michael Rosenbaum, Ledger, Pffeifer, Eackhart, Molina, Dafoe, McKellen any time over him.

@Doopie I thought Eckhart's Two-Face lacked the duality of the character. There was no internal conflict. He just wanted revenge against the cops. There was no inner strife. The coin flip was just a decision...it wasn't a verdict.

1)Loki, with 3 movie performances trumps Heath Ledger's one performance
2)Ledger's Joker, the Oscar means something
3)Gandalf's Magneto, not quite faithful to comics but still really awesome
4)not sure

the question is who comes after Heath Ledger.
I consider Michael Fassbender more like an anti hero in First CLASS but If he wasn I would go with him as secnd.
