Set 100 years from now after the war between Christians and Satanists, the film is about a Christian warrior priest (Paul Bettany) who disobeys church law by teaming with a young sheriff (Cam Gigandet) and a priestess (Maggie Q) to track down a cult of vampire outlaws that is led by a former Christian and now a Satanic priest, Black Hat, who kidnapped his niece before they brainwash her.

Directed by Scott Charles Stewart and starring Paul Bettany, Cam Gigndet, Maggie Q, Karl Urban, Lily Collins, Steven Moyer, Brad Dourif, and Christopher Plummer, Priest will be released on May 13, later this year!

It looks like it could be good but then so did Legion. I have very little faith in the director and even less in Cam "cromagnon head" Giganet. Still, I do like Bettany and Urban. We'l see.

I don't see why they just couldn't do a straight up adaption of the manga its not that hard to adapt but it looks ok

Exiles@ Yeah agree! Paul Bettany would have been great Ivan Isaacs! Or maybe Michael Fassbender?

I had, and still have, no interest in seeing Legion and pretty much feel the same way about this movie as well. Maybe I'll pick them both up when I spot them in a bargain bin for £3. :D

It looks entertaining. I say "Wanted" in the sense that it is nothing close to the source material but looks damn entertaining.

Legion only looked okay. So far, this looks as awesome as a mix between Blade 2 and Stallone's Judge Dredd! Plus Urban makes a kick ass vampire, you know, the way they should be! I like Bettany but i think Luke Goss would have been better suited for this role. Well, maybe not "better", cause both are as equaliy awesome. I guess i just miss seeing Luke in action is all LOL

Exiles- The only resemblance i see to Legion is the director and main actor. Aside from those two aspects, i really don't see the resemblance. Legion seemed to be much more of a action horror film while this one is more of uh... woops, there goes another resemblance. Still, i think the other one seemed to have more "suspense" than this one. Priest seems to be more action/martial arts focused. But i feel you in regards of the adaptation aspects. I'm sure it would have been a completely different film had they accurately adapted it directly from the source. Still, it does look pretty decent. Much better than many action flicks of today.
