Priest Release Date Pushed Back, Will Receive The 3D Treatment

Thats right, more 3D! Aren't you folks exited!! Anyway, the Screen Gems post-apocalyptic vampire movie starring Paul Bettany, has shifted its release date again...

Priest, directed by Scott Stewart, is getting the 3D treatment and will now be released Jan. 14, 2011. The new date puts the movie in similar territory as the recent Legion, the Stewart-Bettany action-thriller that opened Jan. 22 and was..a bit shit. Although the film has done alright for Screen Gems, amassing almost $31 million so far. The new release date could be because they are happy with Legion and want to try to replicate its earnings with a similar release slot, or they are disappointed and want to add some bells and whistles(like 3D) in an attempt to ensure its success. Either way, I think the highly anticipated Priest, has become some what less highly anticipated after Legion!

In other news, Underworld 4 is being pushed back from a January 2011 date to Sept. 23, 2011. These Vamps and their unwillingness to stake their claim for a release date!:)

Priest is based on a graphic novel by Min-Woo Hyung and sees Bettany as a warrior priest who teams up with a young sheriff (Cam Gigandet) and a priestess (Maggie Q) to track down a band of renegade vampires.

haha...lots of seemingly unintended puns and grammatical errors in that article that got my chuckling.

Glad to hear that there's going to be an Underworld 4 eventually. The second part really screwed up a great story, but the third part was a redeeming effort that paid off. Can't wait to see where they go in #4!

Now this is getting a little bit ridiculous, what a desperate cry for money when you have to postpone the films release in order to add the new fad to it.

Thank you James Cameron, now I get to pay 15.50 for not only your sh#t movies, but for EVERY movie, thank god for James Cameron "revolutionizing" film making for everyone! I now have something to do with my disposable income, I mean, to think, I was going to waste it on goods and services, what a fool! Now I finally get to pump every cent I earn into the MAGIC OF 3D!

RinjoClans@ YOU IDIOT, Hollywood types don't know sarcasm unless they're the ones making it!! You should have added something at the end of your comment so that even a retard could understand.

And yes, 3D is very overrated.

I probably won't see it anyway. Not for 15 bucks. If I wanna spend that kind of money to see a movie I'll just wait and buy it on dvd when the price drops. After I watch it for free on the internet first to see if its worth the buy.
