In an interview with SciFiNow, Daredevil's showrunner Steven DeKnight expressed his love for the character of the Punisher and his desire to see the character done justice on the small screen. On the topic of a Punisher Netflix series DeKnight said:

”I’d love to see him get his due on a platform like this. Nothing would delight me more than to see the Punisher get his own show and maybe we could convince Marvel to go Hard-R rating. If any character deserves an R rating, it’s the Punisher.”

Would you like to see Punisher come into his own Netflix series? Do you hope to see the character appear in one of the other upcoming Netflix/Marvel partnership shows? Be sure to let us know in the comments section below! Be sure to check out the whole interview at the source link.

i would really prefer a movie. i know if they try to make a show there will be lots of attempts at character development and that is not what the punisher is about for me.

Can you guys help me? I was gonna post an article, but it says there's a 'mandatory probation period for new members', which doesn't make sense given that I've already posted an article before. Can someone help?

@Axiom- Judging by the sound of the early reviews, it will be.

Probation? That sounds kinda messed up. Maybe it's because of the past when newbies'd come in and just post seven of the same article on April Fool's. I dunno, that might be it. Ask @NateBest.

@TheBritAvenger - Good stuff!

As for the probation period, it may be something they added after you created the first article, but any doubts try tagging @Galactus or any of the editors with the question

@TheBritAvenger - The probation period is something I had to add over the weekend due to the spammers that have been attacking the site over the last two months. They would create an account and then immediately post articles linking to movie downloads, porn, etc.. It got to the point where we just couldn't keep up with all of them and they were close to bringing the site down :o(

@NateBest- Ah, okay. I don't mind if it's a matter of site security. Just curious, how long is the probation period?

This doesn't sound false. I recall him saying something about The Punisher before.
Now that Marvel has the rights to him again. I say introduce him in the Daredevil series & spin off into his own show after.
Hard R on Netflix..that would be sweet.

Frank Grillo was so awesome in TWS. I'm going to be seriously pissed if Civil War doesn't feature major roles for TWS, Crossbones and Zola. And [frick]ing give us Zemo & return of the Red Skull!
PymParticle
PymParticle - 4/1/2015, 7:36 AM
Ok come to think of it I would rather have had Cap3 revolve around what I just wrote, but if they somehow fit it into Civil War i'm happy too, but that seems unlikely.

After Strucker, Zemo shows up as a new head of Hydra "cut off one head two more shall take it's place", then Red Skull returns and assumes command. Continue the Crossbones and finding Bucky story, and cameo's by Zola and others. Want.

@PymParticle - from everything Ive read, TWS and crossbones will both have bigger roles in civil war. I really want Zemo to pop up too, but I also don't want to many co existing stories in one movie. Also I believe Red Skull will be back but prob not til Infinity War. I've noticed that the movies have been influencing the comics and cartoons lately and I'd say the three main villians to pop up alot recently are Thanos, Ultron, and Red Skull (especially in the Assemble cartoon).

The Punisher/Black Widow anime was pretty awful. That aside, MCU could really use some Punisher. Maybe Spidey's first villain?
JredTheRed
JredTheRed - 4/1/2015, 9:45 PM
@dethpillow - actually a friend and i were discussing our ideas for the Inhumans movie yesterday and we had a decent (i think) story for them that had the High Evolutionary as the main villain....although he was very different from his comic counterpart. I think High Evo would be a perfect fit for the MCU.
