BLADE RUNNER 2049 Gets A Visually Striking Second Trailer Which Provides A Better Idea Of The Sequel's Plot
Following a couple of brief teasers, a terrific second trailer for Denis Villeneuve’s highly-anticipated follow-up to Ridley Scott's Blade Runner is now online. Check it out after the jump...
A new trailer for Blade Runner 2049 has just debuted, and it features more stunning visuals while also giving us a slightly better idea of what to expect from the sci-fi sequel's plot.
It begins with a first glimpse of Jared Leto's character, who seems to be creating a new line of replicants, and will no doubt play a major role in the story. From there K's (Ryan Gosling) mission is made a little clearer, and he may very well wind up having the same crisis of conscience about hunting down and killing "skin jobs" as Deckard did in the original.
Following some more action shots, there's an intriguing little tease at the end which suggests K might also be a replicant - but we knew they were always going to play with that idea for the marketing, at least!
Have a look at the trailer below, and sound off with your thoughts in the usual place.
Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K, unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard, a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.
