As Dune's release date (finally) begins to draw near, marketing has started to ramp up in anticipation of Denis Villeneuve's adaptation of Frank Herbert's seminal sci-fi novel, and Total Film has now shared the news-stand and subscribers covers for its latest issue.
The standard cover features Timothée Chalamet as Paul Atreides, Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica, and Oscar Isaac as Duke Leto Atreides, and they're joined on the subscribers only cover by Zendaya as Chani, Jason Momoa as Duncan Idaho, Josh Brolin as Gurney Halleck, and Javier Bardem as Stilgar.
We found out that the sci-fi adaptation had been pushed back from October 1 to October 22 last month. A recent poster confirmed that movie is still set to debut simultaneously in theaters and on HBO Max, and we also got word that it will have its out-of-competition world premiere on Friday, September 3 at the Toronto International Film Festival.
For those unfamiliar with the source material, Dune follows the Atreides family as they relocate to the desolate planet of Arrakis to assume control of the production of the most valuable resource in the galaxy, the Spice Melange. Unfortunately, an act of treachery soon makes an outcast of The Duke Atreides' youngest son Paul, and he must accept his destiny as a powerful prophet of the Arrakis natives known as The Fremen.
