Co-director of the standalone Han Solo movie, Chris Miller, has taken to Twitter to announce that filming has officially kicked-off on the Star Wars spinoff with an awesomely captioned image...
One half of Han Solo directing duo, Chris Miller, has officially announced that shooting has begun on the upcoming Star Wars anthology flick.
Miller posted an image of a film slate with the words "Star Wars: Red Cup", which we're pretty certain isn't going to be the actual title of the movie. He's also captioned it with a clever little play on the oft-repeated mantra of Star wars geeks the world over: "Han shot first".
Though specific plot details remain under wraps, we do know that the movie will tell the tale of Solo's early years as a budding space smuggler, and will feature younger versions of Lando and Chewie. Woody Harrelson also recently revealed that he'll be playing Han's ruthless mentor, Garris Shrike.
Kathleen Kennedy and Allison Shearmur are producing the Han Solo standalone film, which is currently set to hit theaters on May 25, 2018.
