Despite the language barrier between fans and Chewbacca, the two hundred year old Wookiee has remained a fan-favourite since Star Wars debuted back in 1977.

Star Wars writers, Lawrence Kasdan and Jonathan Kasdan recently revealed how the Wookiee's dialogue is handled in scripts. Whilst discussing the upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story, with The Star Wars Show, the pair revealed that in the film's script they actually write out Chewie's lines. Jonathan Kasdan explained:

In this script, we wrote every one of Chewie's lines. We wanted Alden, who was playing Han, to know what was being said to him. So he would know what to play, regardless of what he interpreted from the moan.

Clips from behind the scenes of A New Hope actually resurfaced a couple of years ago, before Chewie's growl was added in post, meaning instead we could hear Peter Mayhew actually what the growls meant. You can check out that clip here.

While on the topic of an affinity for Chewie; Lawrence Kasdan recently discussed with Empire that he perseves Solo: A Star Wars Story as a romance, of sorts.

It's a love story. Obviously, they don't automatically trust each other and become friends. But that's all the meat of a good story.

To me, this is a love story between Han and Chewie. Their relationship has always been my favorite part of the saga, and the fact that only Han understands what Chewie is saying, I find a very funny possibility for comedy … Wookiees have so many positive qualities. But what they don’t do is make it easy for you to get in.

Are you excited to see the origin of the iconic pair? What's your opinion on the legendary walking carpet? For more from the Star Wars writers, check out the most recent episode of The Star Wars Show, below:

So how long before some CLICKBAIT anti-Disney YouTuber claims that Disney is using "SJW tactics" to ruin Han by making him gay or some crap like that?

Well, the comment section speaks volumes on how much interest people have in this mess. So, by and large Han will be betrayed by Miss. Clark's character. That will be the twist in this product. How deep!
