Colin Trevorrow Talks JURASSIC PARK IV; "It’s Important To Make A Movie For The Fans"

Jurassic Park IV director Colin Trevorrow (who was at one point rumoured to be up for Star Wars Episode VII) talks in detail about the upcoming movie, touching on the chances of John Williams returning, recent online rumours, and a new "bad ass" dinosaur. Check it out!

In the above interview, Colin Trevorrow confirms that Jurassic Park IV is at least "two years out" (yet another movie to add to the already packed out 2015?) and was quick to point out that he's hoping to appeal to new and old fans alike with this movie. "It’s important to make a movie for the fans but I also have to remember that there’s a lot of people who just couldn’t care less and need me to make a solid case for why the hell there’s a Jurassic Park 4 in the first place and I want to make a movie for them too." He also refused to reveal whether composer John Williams would return - despite saying "Do I love John Williams and all of his music? Of course." - and advised fans to avoid any and all spoilers in the build up to the release of the highly anticipated fourth instalment of the beloved franchise. Trevorrow also touches on a new "bad ass" dinosaur they'll be introducing, adding: "This is not a paycheck gig for me and it’s not the movie that I’m making so I can make the movies that I really want to make. I actually want to make a kick-ass Jurassic Park movie." Definitely the right man for the job I would say!

Dinosaurs were cool in the 90s...this movie doesn't even need to be made.

I disagree, for every 50 comic book related movies, I'd like to see one Dino movie made. Nice change of pace for a change

Hopefully they won't release in the summer rush... it won't survive. A November release would be their best bet.

There really isn't a need for this. The series has lost interest in the twelve years since it's been away.

Listen, this film will be shit. Jurassic Park is like a horror story. The first is great but the rest are rehashes and the same. I would love to watch Dino vs Dino but give me a [frick]ing story that hasn't been told.

JP for the "fans" . . . I just want to see Dinosaurs eating dumb motherF'ers up.

Not necessarily bad guys, but all characters written for stupid-vanilla audiences who represent boring values of Americana, innocence, poor over acting, and text-book Spielberg overplayed motifs . . . such as:

The Little Girl Who is so Terrified She Can't Scream

The Academic Type Professor Who Is So Removed from Emotions He Fumbles Like a Cute Nutty Professor

The Leading Lady, Who Isn't Exactly Good Looking, But Good Enough for Wal Mart

Apple Pie Boy with the Cool Toys

The Rich British Bastard

Yes, LEVITROLL, it totally makes sense that the movie will suck when we barely know anything about it.

The last movie with terrifying dinosaurs in it was King Kong so I dont understand why everyone is saying we dont need this.

I used to be a huge JP fan back in the day. I had the toys and video games. Good memories.

I've pretty much lost interest in the JP franchise after the third movie.

I will admit though, Colin Trevorrow's attitude is winning me over. If he could live up to his promises, I'll be checking out JP4.
