GOTG Star Chris Pratt On What We Should Expect From JURASSIC WORLD

We'll see him as Star-Lord in James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy later this year, but another major blockbuster on the horizon for Chris Pratt is Colin Trevorrow's Jurassic World. Hit the jump to hear the actor discuss his character and what we should expect from the movie!

"What I liked about it was it answers the question of like, 'Why would you do that?' How do you suspend disbelief to be like, 'Oh yes, let's make this mistake again!' 'We haven't learned our lesson about dinosaurs, we should definitely live with them and see how that works out!' You know, after THREE tries at it.

They answer the question really well through this script; Colin did a great job of writing it, justifying it, and kind of - in his own way - having fun with that. So, anybody who goes in with that question will be really amused the way I was about how they answer that. That was really good and he's got a great vision for the movie.

It's awesome that Steven Spielberg is taking a chance on this guy because he's got a really clear vision. We talked about it, I sat down with him, and it was kind of like me and James [Gunn]. We just kind of started getting excited about this. In the back of my mind, I was like, 'Dude. This is gonna happen! They want YOU to do this movie!

I remember him saying, 'They're not gonna tell you this, but we want you to do it.' I was like, 'Really? Ok, oh my God...' So, just like getting really excited about it. [My character] has got a little bit of the Goldblum cynicism, but also the Sam Neill excitement of the wonder of the biology of it all. It's a combination.

We're gonna start filming in about six weeks or something. [Bryce Dallas Howard] is so cool. She's so great."

im not gonna lie.... i think i have a bit of a mancrush on Chris Pratt and i havent seen him in anything...well when he was cast as Star lord,i saw clips of him as Andy on Parks and Recreation, i loved his comedic timing ,especially this scene...

and he can do drama pretty well ala Moneyball, he played the drama pretty well in that film with the clips i have seen of him in that film, he is kind 0of a ryan reynolds type..i like ryan reynolds but the guy hasnt had success in superhero films(blade trinity, green lantern, xmen orgins wolverine) hopefully pratt has success with Guardians(which i hope to god is good,PLEASEEEEEEEEEEE BE A GOOD MOVIE

Im down for Chris Pratt to come on up, I just hope he doesnt fall off. Like Jeremy Renner had like 7 high dollar movies (Bourne, MI, Avengers, ect.) its like for 2 or 3 years he was in everything, now nothing.

As long as they stop raping the Jurassic Park franchise and make it somewhat comparable to the 1st film. The 2nd and especially the 3rd one were terrible. Jurassic Park 3 was arguably as bad as X-Men Origins: Wolverine was to the X-Men franchise. Just...please make it good.

I hope this is tons of fun! I like all three so far, even though only the first is really a great movie and the only one whose story is worth being told.

I would have loved to hear him say:

"The ONE thing you WON'T see in this movie are dinosaurs!! We've had enough of those in the last three films! This time, we're studying ancient ferns and THAT'S when the danger starts!"

I expect shit, too...Goldblum was ridiculously campy and Neill was mostly stiff. Sure JP had its moments, but every JP film after got progressively worse because of the ridiculous camp and stiffness of the characters.
