Ready for Jurassic Park 4?! Well unfortunately, the film has been delayed, or "put on hold" due to script problems and not only that but the production crew for the film has been canned.
Flesheatingzipper has covered the news:
We’re getting word across the internet that Jurassic Park IV has been put on hold due to script troubles. A pair of artists have come out on Twitter to say that script development issues, similar to what happened to Spielberg’s Robopocalypse, are what’s now setting the film back. The film isn’t cancelled per se, but what info do we have? Not much!
According to concept artists for the film, the entire crew has been laid off. A concept artist by the name of Dean Sherriff, who joined with Amblin in March 2013, stated that Jurassic Park IV was put “on hold” before deleting his tweet. His credits include Watchmen, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Day the Earth Stood Still, The Incredible Hulk, F4: Rise of the Silver Surfer, Night at the Museum, X-Men: The Last Stand, Fantastic Four, and X2.
Digital Asset Manager Todd Smoyer (@ToddSmoyer), working for Ebb Tide Productions, corroborated as much in his tweets as well, but so far, he hasn’t been as shy about the development. UPDATE: Never mind, the tweets were deleted. Here’s what they looked like, though:
Jurassic Park 4 was aiming for a July production date, aiming to release June 30th 2014. Looks like we'll have to wait a bit longer for this movie to get itself together. Still, despite this development, does this really come off as a surprise to anyone?
