JURASSIC WORLD Pays Tribute To The Late, Great Lord Richard Attenborough

Lord Richard Attenborough's failing health over the past few years obviously eliminated the possibility of him having some sort of cameo in Jurassic World, but the statue which will be on display in the park feels even more appropriate as a way of paying tribute to him now. Starring Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins, Jake Johnson, Nick Robinson, Irrfan Khan, Vincent D'Onofrio, BD Wong, Omar Sy, Judy Greer, Katie McGrath, Lauren Lapkus and Andy Buckley, Jurassic World is set to be released on June 12th, 2015. Are you looking forward to the movie?

That's the shame of it: Attenborough never got to live long enough to see Jurassic World. So much if that movie seems to be an homage to his character from the original: from a fully functioning park that was practically his character's dream, to Bryce Dallas Howard's outfit resembling Hammond's all-white clothing. RIP

They should definitely incorporate his passing into the script. As Hammond's passing of course, but it would be a good way to memorialize his place in the mythos. One man's dream, a dream that would ultimately outlive him.

It's great to know that they were going to pay tribute to him regardless. In both drama and documentary, he and his brother really had us covered.

That's really awesome! I hope his character gets mention in the film and not just a statue in the background.

Richard Attenborough was awesome. John Hammond, on the other hand, was a fool with a lot of dead folks' blood on his hands. I hope they don't feel they have to retcon that just to honor Attenborough's memory.

His character was eaten at the end of the book.
Of course, they didn't do that in the movie in
case there were sequels.
