I don't know if I've ever seen anything as ground breaking in film as the dinosaurs of Jurassic Park. They were real.

About halfway through the T-Rex attack scene, I knew I was watching movie magic, a Spielbergian tour de force. It's too bad the remainder of the film doesn't quite live up to that scene.

You know what I think will happen with the Jurassic Park franchise? They'll reboot it. Jeff Goldblum and Sam Neill are in their sixties, now. The kid, Tim, who was 9 in the first movie, is almost thirty. Richard Attenborough took a nasty fall a couple years ago, and has forcibly retired himself from the industry.

I think any excuse to bring back original cast members would feel far-fetched and desperate at this point.

I think Universal, who has almost nothing going for them at this point, will take the Amazing Spider-man route. They'll go back to the first Crichton book, which differs somewhat from the film, and make a slightly different version of the Jurassic Park story with different characters, new actors, or hell, maybe even a prequel.

I'll never forget the first encounter with the t-rex. It was truly mind blowing an terrifying at the same time. That scene alone is why im seeing this in 3d, when t-rex comes crashing through the roof of the jeep, prepare for poopy pants ^_^

Im glad to see everyone feels the same as i do about this movie. Such an enjoyable movie all around in so many ways. I hope they do reboot it, id like to see another vision of the original and a version of the lost world closer to the book. Even though you could never top the original :)

This is one of my all time favorite movies and I have seen it countless times and never get tired of it. The special effects still amaze me almost 20 years later.

I think they should do a futureistic movie where convicts are dropped off on Isla Sorna and forced to fight for their survival against the dinosaurs. It would be like a mixture of Predators and Gamer with Jurassic Park dinosaurs in the mix.

the original Jurassic Park was one of those films that just define the "magic" of movies.

I don't see any real point to a 3D version, but it is a great opportunity for people who were too young to experience this film on the big screen to finally get their chance. I don't care how fancy a TV is or a home theater sound system is, some films just HAVE to be experienced in the theater on the big screen. This is certainly one of them. I hope a restored 2D version will also be available- I'd love to experience this film in a theater again.
