It goes without saying that Jurassic Park is a classic film that triggered a nationwide interest in dinosaurs. We all had some interest in the ancient beasts, but, for the most part, our interests were truly peaked after seeing this movie.

As a huge fan of the original release, I couldn't wait to see Jurassic Park in IMAX 3D. As the day drew near, I started thinking of certain scenes that would be really exciting in 3D. Naturally, most of what came to mind involved either the T-Rex or the Velociraptor. As per usual, I will break this review down into separate aspects and then rate the film based on the things discussed.

Content:
I was actually pleasantly surprised to find that there were a few extended scenes. Most added footage was extended dialogue rather than action. However, the extended scenes were both pertinent and enjoyable.

3D Conversion:
The 3D was excellent! All images were sharp, clear and popped off screen in a magnificent display of prehistoric beauty. The scenes with the T-Rex chasing people and the Velociraptor lunging for a bite were astoundingly awesome.

If you are a fan of the original release and love 3D movies, this is a must see. This is probably the best example of 3D conversion I have scene yet!

5/5
