Jurassic Park films must be viewed on the big screen. There is so much awe inspiring moments when viewing dinosaurs like these on a massive screen, and not the dinky one at your homes. Also don't forget to pick up the all three updated films on Blu Ray October 24th.

One of the greatest movies ever made. Definitely.
I wish it'd come back to US theaters, I'd love to see it in 3D.

You know what, I don't care if I get flak for this but Jurassic Park is not a great movie. It's actually a mediocre movie with some stunning set pieces and special effects.

Re-releases over remakes any day.

I´d love to hear John Williams heavenly soundtrack on the teather once again.

@RorMachine Lies! Nothing with Jeff Mother[frick]ing Goldblum can be mediocre!

i was in 5th grade when this came out, and i remember how much everyone loved it and how the whole school was talking about it

@RorMachine -- I absolutely agree. The movie is also full of sloppy continuity errors, such as the ground in the T-Rex paddock mysteriously disappearing to accommodate the rappelling/car-in-the-tree sequence.

What was the goat standing on? Or the enormous dinosaur that ripped the hole in the fence in the first place that the humans escaped through?

But yeah, great effects, considering they were basically inventing the tech as they went along.

Great movie. I agree that it has its fair share of flaws, but in the end the good greatly outweighs the bad.

classic :)

Sam Neill´s and Jeff Goldblum´s characters are best.

- Loved when the first dinosaurs appeared
- Loved all the daytime shots of the dinos
- Way too many night sequences
- The first interaction with the TRex was thrilling
- The kids, especially the girls' expressions, were annoying
- Got bored with the velociraptors real quick
- I made a BIG audible GROAN at the sight of the TRex with the falling banner reading 'Dinosaurs Ruled The Earth'

I wouldn't go to the theater to see this again. My THX home theater is generally more impressive than the noise I get at the multiplexes. Plus nobody is talking or on their cell phone at home.

It was amazing for when it came out and has all the great cliche Spielberg moments, but it's not a "great" film. I'll probably get the blu-ray though.

Same goes for Star Wars. I'm amped for the Blu-Ray but I can't see payinig for them again. I had them on VHS (3 different versions). saw the Special Editions in theaters and then bought the laserdisc, DVD's and now Blu-Ray. 3D won't drag me to the cinema unless there is new stuff and maybe episodes 7-9.

I'd rather watch this at home on my projector.Just like being at the theatre.

@Capfan: lol. Yeah, seriously. My sound system at home isn't the best out there, but I've managed to squeeze every bit of sound I can out of it and the result is breathtaking, not to mention my TV so it takes a movie I really want to see on the big screen to get me in the theater. That said, I wouldn't mind giving this another go on the big screen with my kids. Same as when Star Wars comes out. Two franchises that my kids haven't seen yet on the big screen.

@ quickdraw1021: How do you have it set up? I've always wondered how projectors work on dvd movies.

Better than Star Wars rerelease. There should just be new Star Wars stories being told in film. Jurassic Park is different and worth the ticket. Why pay to see Star Wars again when I have every movie and surround system in my basement?

I am so seeing this. Didn't have the luxury of seeing it in theatres during its original release, considering how I wasn't born. Movie is amazing, and... thrilling.

All I have to say is, THank God George Lucas had no involvment in this movie!

The T-rex would have been digitally altered to have lasers on his freakin forehead.

3D. It demands 3D! I would be even more stoked if they updated the dinosaurs like Yoda only update them to recent discoveries on dinosaurs. The way the raotors had sone feathers in the third film. Spielberg's raptors were always on steroids though. They should be like a foot or more shorter than they are in the films.

@MikeHawk- I hated Spy Kids 1. I liked the second one though. 3 sucked and I didn't bother with 4.
