They've been teasing us for days, but Warner Bros. has finally released a new trailer for Kong: Skull Island. In it, we get a first look at a number of very unusual creatures, and it's now apparent that King Kong's home is infested with monsters. It almost looks like he's protecting the world from them, but that's clearly not going to stop the invading humans from trying to take him down once and for all.

Speaking of which, the humans get a fair bit of screentime here, and the trailer does an excellent job of spotlighting Kong: Skull Island's incredible cast. It's Kong who is obviously the real attraction though!

The impressive cast of Kong: Skull Island includes Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, Brie Larson, John Goodman, and John C. Reilly, and it’s currently set to be released worldwide on March 10th, 2017.

This looks truly epic and a pure monster movie. Something that Godzilla was missing for me big time. Love the worship going on and fighting the other creatures on the island. Not into the lore of Kong, are those things made for this movie or apart of its history?

@Menks123 - looks like a fun action packed monster movie. Godzilla took itself a little too seriously for my taste. I personally love Peter Jackson's Kong but this looks different, high hopes for this one

Thank God they showed it early so I only had to sit through an unfunny monologue and not Garth Brooks.

I like the classic design of King Kong rather than just a gigantic gorilla like the 2005 film.

@CharIieBoy - the shot of Kong walking through the water made me think of the original Kong design

Some of the humor seems odd (Reilly is reallllly cheesy here), but I like the scope and scale. This is a really good trailer. Maybe my favorite so far for the end of this year.

@ComicsBornAndBred - Yeah....They turned up the cheese-o-meter for Reilly to another notch. I do like that last line tho. Lol.

@BlackStar25 - He's odd, but I like everything else. There's a real sense of suspense and terror with these monsters. Anyone can go. Looks like a true blue survival thriller. Kong looks like he's not going to fall for some blonde dame haha. He looks like he wants to wreck shit.

I like the setting. The 70s. Wonder where JK Simmons is at.
