The news that a Blade Runner sequel was in development was met with a mixed response, but with Denis Villeneuve (Sicario) at the helm, Sir Ridley Scott producing, and Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford leading the cast, there's a lot to look forward to with this one. While plot details are being kept a closely guarded secret, Entertainment Weekly has revealed some concept art and a few bits of info.

For starters, this movie takes place decades after the original Blade Runner and will once again be set in Los Angeles. However, we'll be seeing much more of the West Coast this time around. "The climate has gone berserk — the ocean, the rain, the snow is all toxic," Villeneuve explains. As for the vehicle pictured below, its apparently a kind of snow blower that hovers over the streets and destroys snow.

The Blade Runner sequel is set to be released on October 6th next year, so stay tuned for updates.
