Brazilian director José Padilha covers the new issue of Veja, a Brazilian magazine which talks about social, political and more other subjects in the country, and shows to the world his first Hollywood movie, the Robocop reboot. More after the jump.

In RoboCop, the year is 2029 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Their drones are winning American wars around the globe and now they want to bring this technology to the home front. Alex Murphy is a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit. After he is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp utilizes their remarkable science of robotics to save Alex’s life. He returns to the streets of his beloved city with amazing new abilities, but with issues a regular man has never had to face before.


Robocop stars Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, Samuel L. Jackson, Jay Baruchel, Abbie Cornish, Jackie Earle Haley, Marianne Jean-Baptiste and Michael Kenneth Williams. The release date is set for February 7th, 2014.

The constant flow of remakes is becoming tiresome. This looks like utter garbage, no edginess to it, certainly no originality just more garbage with an old familiar name.

I am also utterly sick of seeing Samuel L Jackson pop up in everything.

movie was better than i thought it was going to be.. even though we all knew how it was going to end, the extra stuff thrown in made it far more interesting than i thought.. good effort, good movie.
